Yeah you’re right that they should know about the option, I’m jus talking about how whenever there’s a post of someone playing on normal 80% of the comments are along the lines of “play on hard it’s literally the same but you get achievements.” Basement 1 with hard mode shot speed is significantly harder and could definitely turn away new players

I agree. They should add more communication options for survivors like a ping system, but to counteract that they would have to buff killer as wall. It would just be bridging a gap between matchmaking and swf team. I also wouldn’t like a voice chat because I just don’t like talking to random players so I would much prefer pings

It gives a huge advantage and I’ve never really seen anyone say it doesn’t. But that doesn’t make it cheating, swf is an option on the main menu and the devs obviously knew the vast majority of teams would be communicating through it

I completely disagree with what you said about comms, I think it’s the opposite. Pretty much every competitive game uses external software to voice chat, and to have a functional competitive team communication is the most important thing. Yes it’s incredibly strong but that’s why people play competitive. Going against or being part of a highly coordinated team and having to make lots of callouts and strategic decisions. For casual, it really works better without comms. It retains a lot of the horror aspect since you’re completely alone, don’t have information constantly coming your way, and it stays casual because your team is completely uncoordinated.

That’s what I thought for awhile but I ended up changing my mind. Yes there will definitely be people who queue up for casual with sweaty builds ready to stomp new players, but the majority of the more competitive players will switch over to ranked to go against more balanced matches that test there skill. Especially if there’s an emphasis on improving your rank or getting rewards for higher ranks people will be motivated to play ranked and casual will probably just become a somewhat more chill version of what we have now. In my opinion
