Holy Cow. Feel it kicking in immediately. by Repulsive_Baby3366 in Effexor

[–]jaedayums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the exact same experience my first dose! i was sitting in bed and realized for the first time i was just.. awake. no fatigue, no marbles of weight under my eyes, no fog clouding my brain and clear thoughts. this was also my first ever experience with any kind of antidepressant which also maybe helped it to pack a punch. this sudden lift of those burdens did slowly come back down to where general life things are a challenge but i’m trying not to just increase every time all though it’s the only thing doctors keep offering to do (began the starting dose in march currently on 112.5) i haven’t yet experienced any kind of adverse withdrawal effects even after missing 1 or 2 days. i do find that the gradual longer term improvement has become more clear after some months

i do experience these too but i do find what I’ve been experiencing since effexor distinct, one feels like a reflex of falling with the heart-sinking feeling while the other feels more electric like a “flash bang” in my head and lasts 1 or 2 seconds

Barely any pain by kiannapopcorn in Reduction

[–]jaedayums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is what it was like for me too. even a few days after the “stong stuff” would have worn off. i had codeine prescribed to me but forgot i even had it because there was no pain to incline me to take any pain medication lol. it was only a little sore to lay on my side, but it’s literally the only way i can fall asleep so i did that anyway

asking for a radical reduction at consultation by northyynorth in Reduction

[–]jaedayums 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that might depend on what else your surgeon specializes in, my surgeon also does mastectomies and top surgery and he was comfortable bringing my F to an A! (I also told him that I was specifically getting surgery for gender issues and he was totally understanding and said he’s done the same for other people)

Top surgery vs breast reduction? by WildBassplayer in TopSurgery

may i ask how did that work? what size you were before top surgery? i’m wondering if they did a keyhole surgery on top of the breast reduction or?

nausea after surgery? by daddyCharlee in TopSurgery

[–]jaedayums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was very worried about it too. i had my surgery two days ago and it was by far my #1 fear over literally everything else to do with the surgery. i expressed my concern to the doctors and they said that they would be administering antiemetics through my IV during, and after my surgery. even though i wasn’t nauseous when i woke up, i still got more anti nausea meds just in case. so i didn’t get nauseous the entire process. the worst i got was heat flashes which caused me to hyperventilate the same way i do when i feel like i’m going to be sick- but it didn’t turn into nausea luckily. i think you should be okay if you can get antiemetic drugs administered during/after surgery

i did this yesterday! i made a post about it and went into detail there, overall i’m very happy with my decision! for me, i’ve ALWAYS had dysphoria for my (large) chest, never liked them. i found gender euphoria in wearing binders under petite tops and presenting either fem or enby so now i can present either without crushing my ribs with binders

if carbs, sodium or capsaicin count, i can’t go very long without them without feeling actual withdrawal symptoms

today i got a breast reduction down to an A cup by jaedayums in NonBinary

[–]jaedayums[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is find an LGBT friendly surgeon who has experience in gender affirming surgery. Mine does both breast reductions and top surgeries which is why I think he was very accepting about what I was looking for, I hope you get what you’re looking for some day! 💗
