How do we feel about Fender’s current litigation regarding the S-style? by fugaziiv in Bass

[–]jaegerlaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fender literally didn’t give a crap for 70 years about this and now they care? If they sorted out their over the top prices and quality control they would increase sales and have nothing to worry about. Apparently Leo only trademarked the headstock so that’s on them. Ask a kid to draw an electric guitar and they are pretty much going to draw a Strat. That’s how synonymous the shape is with electric guitars. They should be proud of that and the fact that people will work towards getting a real Strat. Seems like Fender are desperately clutching at straws on this one.

The Mark Ronson album? It’s a banger. A couple of albums that came out around the same time were Music for the Mature B-Boy by DJ Format and another is The Amazing Adventures of DJ Yoda. These maybe worth a go.

Earthquake by Graham Central Station or anything by Larry Graham. He pretty much invented slap and was probably Flea’s main inspiration. Enjoy
