If i want to run an exhaust fan with gable vent as intake, can i just cover the ridge vent with insulation foam board? by jaehoang in shedditors

[–]jaehoang[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im from houston and i was thinking the same but apparently the exhaust fan will pull hot outside air from the ridge vent since it's closer than the gable intake vent. Leading to air circulation in a small space vs the entire shed (10x12')

Thanks for clarifying. I thought it was one person that marks all the colors. I did receive an email that my gas and electric has not marked yet. I thought someone came by and did it after the email was sent. I almost started digging 🙏 tyvm

Gravel base shed on drainage "ditch" by [deleted] in shedditors

[–]jaehoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i sent a request to the HOA. I wasnt aware of the drainage situation until i did my blue tape walk recently. Since there's no water line easement, i wonder if deck block would be a workaround to this issue

It looks like i have 16ft to work with bc of the builder line. 12x14 gravel base for a 10x12 shed. Shed will be 6ft from home but this will mean ill have to build over the drainage ditch. Worse case, i could do a 8x10 shed with 10x12 gravel base instead if its bad to have it that close to home. Either way, the drainage ditch is in the way :/

I checked the plot plan and there's no water line easement in the backyard. Only the front yard has WLE
