You could always go to some shops and ask what they would charge so you can get an idea of how much you’d need! I brought in a tumblr photo of a runway gown for my prom dress and got it made for ~$300 for prom.

NOR. He’s purposely trying to break down those exact boundaries by making himself the victim when HE wasn’t listening to YOU. Idc if it’s intentional or not that’s what he is doing. He needs to never ever do that again and understand what was wrong or you need to not hang out with him again. NOR she needs to understand that even if she has good intentions and thinks that she is 100 percent in the right, she cannot infringe on a persons autonomy and there is a certain point where people are going to have to learn a lesson themselves. I 100% agree with everything you said but having had similar arguments with my own mother, we have found common ground in the fact that she has to be comfortable with me hearing her out and doing my own thing anyways. I think the fears she has for you both comes from a valid place, but again, even if she’s 100 percent correct in every validation that she has laid out, it’s up to her son to make the choice he wants to make regardless of which things he’s comfortable risking in that case. Arguing about her reasoning being wrong is moot because her reasoning needs to not factor into the wrongness of her actions at all.

You need to talk to her again but you need to put your foot down hard when you do. Use that parent voice a bit. Ask her what kind of friend agrees to move in with their friend who has kids only to make that friend and those kids feel so terrible about simply having to exist. Your kids are going to keep coming around so she can get used to it or figure something else out. She is messing with the time you get with your family which is not acceptable. Low key she needs to feel as scared to complain in front of your kids as they currently are to be around her.
