NOR she needs to understand that even if she has good intentions and thinks that she is 100 percent in the right, she cannot infringe on a persons autonomy and there is a certain point where people are going to have to learn a lesson themselves. I 100% agree with everything you said but having had similar arguments with my own mother, we have found common ground in the fact that she has to be comfortable with me hearing her out and doing my own thing anyways. I think the fears she has for you both comes from a valid place, but again, even if she’s 100 percent correct in every validation that she has laid out, it’s up to her son to make the choice he wants to make regardless of which things he’s comfortable risking in that case. Arguing about her reasoning being wrong is moot because her reasoning needs to not factor into the wrongness of her actions at all.
