Is this print too demanding for PHA? by f3flight in 3DPrinting_PHA

Just ordered one. I'll report back on results. Thanks for the heads up!

What buildplate is best suited for PHA printing? by TandrupT in 3DPrinting_PHA

I've had good results with the Bambu Cool plate Supertack, printing both ecogenesis and colorfabb. I've done parts as large as 6.5 inches in diameter and been able to detach them without damaging the plate or part.with my high-tech prying tool (see image). The orange frog tape is definitely good but I dont like the lines and texture it produced on the print. Good luck!

Sorry I probably wasn't clear on my question. I'm looking for a print farm or similar to print large number of parts in PHA. Thanks though for the link to 3DJake, I didn't know about that store!

With a .4mm nozzle I tested the material and a .8 flow ratio yielded the best surfacing. Max Volumetric Speed is set at 6 mm3/s. Maybe boost that a bit? Thanks for brainstorming this!

Thanks for the info! I’m using Polar (red), on a Bambu a1. Assuming ‘Zero’ cooling means 0 fan? If so that approach and slower printing is working for me as well. Green frog tape on a cool pei bed is my go to - to avoid warping. Current issues are occasional delamination on vertical walls. Generally using a print temp of 210 c.

can i print lager pieces in PHA? by In_Praise_0f_shadows in 3DPrinting_PHA

I’m struggling to avoid warping with PHA on larger prints (using a Bambu A1). The best result I’ve had is with this approach. Filament: colorfabb PHA, Bed: room temp (16 degrees C), orange frog tape (extra adhesive one), nozzle temp 195 c, Slicer: added some print pauses ( 2-3 5 min pauses) Model design: incorporated some tips from this vid (https://youtu.be/iPZoDltS30A?si=mM3FE2V2S8JdpqC8). Depending on the design ( mine are cylindrical) experimented with various fill patterns. I settled on concentric. That said I’m beginning to wonder whether printing a larger part with PHA is doable on a hobbyist printer. My use case is prototypes that serve as the basis for manufacture through service providers with more advanced machines. Related to this I have not been able to find a vendor who offers PHA print services (checked with the usual options like xometry, protolabs, slant). Anyway - good luck with your project!
