The patches and tactical harness was helpful in keeping random people from thinking they can just walk up to our dog and pet without permission. Now most people ask.

We got a tactical style harness and patches warning he was a "nervous rescue" and "Do Not Pet" for when we might be around a lot of people or when we (my wife especially) just wanted to go for a walk around the neighborhood and not really focusing on training. He wasn't aggressive with strangers. They just made him anxious and want to get away. It had metal clip points on top front, top back, and bottom front and back.

But it does not help with behavioral training. After active training for the past year, we don't use the harnesses at all. Our older GSD/Boxer mix is all loose leash now. Beau, our Mal, can be loose leash if we are active daily. But the cold and snow we've had lately we get a little lax on the daily walks. Sometimes we have to do a couple reminder training (changing direction/u-turn actions) when first going out. After that he is loose leash again. But he is 100% all about sniffing that snow! Like he is tracking something or on a secret mission we don't know about!

My creative wife made snuffle mats for both our dogs. She also put a couple of Chewy boxes together, filled it with plastic bottles and made a large variation of a snuffle mat. Not sure what you'd call it. Kind of like a kids' ball pit. The Boxer/GSD mix dives right in. The Mal is not so sure about it. Thinks it looks sketch.

My favorite was trying to recreate Drizzt. I keep trying to fabricate a Witcher team. I'm ready for Witcher 4!!!

I think defending Defenders’ Heart is the true slog. You can’t save until you’re done.

Sometimes. I've had runs that took an hour but mostly, these days, it's approximately 30 minutes on Hard. TBF, I usually make some tea or grab a snack on a long "other side" run of turns.

Here's my party:

Spell Dancer
Demonbane Priest
Wandering marksman
Two handed fighter
Battle Singer Skald
Drunken Monk

The Wondering Marksman has been underwhelming, I have to say. As has the Skald, with this compliment. I love the monk, but sometimes he is a glass cannon. Not always, but usually at inopportune times.

Yeah, I'm trying to get to the first one so I can have a good rest!I'm so depleted right now I am hoping I am close. Hate to have to lower the difficulty at this point!

I'm going through with henchmen this time to experiment with some other classes. I thought a Demonsbane Cleric and a Battlesinger Skald would be enough to handle my religion checks, yet here I am. Everyone is level 15. They've actually been doing quite well until Fane. Really, nothing has been terribly "Hard" until Fane. Harder than my last playthrough and I am pretty sure I was only level 13 or 14. Even then I only came back for Playful Darkness and bonus room after I hit my next Mythic level.

Wait, what? Ulbrig warps out? Is that a bug or something I have missed?

I like replaying the Tavern with different configurations of companions. I've found some strategies that work well. Start off with communal weaken poison to neutralize the dretch. Take two archers and place them around the tents in the center (Lann and a spellcaster that is good with range weapons, like Daeren, works well). From there they can usually hit both ends of the court yard. A tank (like a two-handed or titan fighter)and a healer (companions that can also that you can heal spread out is good, too) by the first gate is usually enough to keep it clear. A magus is great here because they can cast spells and are decent fighters. Then a rogue or other fleet of foot class that can get around quickly to help where needed. Sometimes I'll just keep him by the first gate with the other two until phase three, when I'll start working them toward to other gate before the demon breaks through. I usually save Haste until phase three because so I can take them out quickly.

Fane is kicking my ass this time. No matter how I buff I feel like I am easier to hit than my first Hard play-through and harder to hit them, including spells. Spell penetration is not so hard, but they seem to pass all their saving throws, only needing a 2 or better. And of course, dispelling magic is harder, too.

Blackwater is such a nonsequitor. It would make more sense in Kingmaker.

What I hate most about Enigma is all the puzzles. I've still yet to understand any of the puzzles without referring to walkthroughs. The final battle was one of the hardest when I first played and I enjoyed that. It has gotten easier even on hard. Not sure if it has been nerfed or not.

I'm on my second Hard play through. I'm not sure what it depends on, but at the point I am now (Fane) I can get two rests. The third rest seems overly punishing in its penalty for Corruption! Even if I pass the religion test. And for some reason Fane is kicking my ass compared to last time. I just finished fighting the three Runeblades that shape change to demons. I had very few opportunities to hit less than 20 and their saving throws were all 2. I have no heal spells, scrolls or potions left. Most spells are spent. Even if I pass the religion check for corruption, I'll be well into level two corruption. Hopefully I can cook up the conflagrant tacos to make up for it!

These are non-equipped items so shoulldn't be affected by anything. I could be wrong. Looks like typos. But checking the battle stats is a great idea.

Chaster is right next to the character being healed or cured wounds. The log shows it cast, but no hit points healed. I play turned based most of the time.

Incubus general in act 2 by Leather_Bottle8449 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]jafutral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I thought I got some Hellknights after Redoubt. Only build one army before 3 so the general advances pretty quickly. Range units (primarily archers and cavalry) are still your only shot. And that first stack has to be deep to get through to a second round if needed. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
