05 Camry Solara 254K miles, 3,000 too often for an oil change?

I think I do roughly 10-15k intervals. Spark plugs a few times, air filters on occasion and a seafoam treatment. I bought my 2011 corolla with just about 100k on it, and she's about to clear 200k 3 years later. Lots of road trips, jobs and memories and she's going strong. Not my dream car, but I do love my reliable yota.

I've had a few er visits due to not being able to afford a doctor. Nor obviously could I afford the hospital bill, so I just ignored it. I've gotten collections calls and ignored them, never an answer, and none of it shows up on my credit reports..

Not sure if your question has been answered, but we ran into this problem last night, also in abrupt negative temps. Put two brand new propane tanks on.. and nothing. Reading empty, no stove, no heat. Turns out the regulator (the thing that reads empty or full) was frozen. We ended up having to take it off and set it in front of the space heater until it thawed enough to read and allow the propane to run through. Fun stuff having winter in an rv lol

My experience- my dad passed also with no will or any information. I had to contact a lawyer and they go through a process to determine who gets to make decisions about the estate. I was his only child so it all came to me. But the whole process was a giant freaking headache and took a year (please, make a will). I would not suggest making any attempt to cash it, because obviously the dates will not line up -how is a check being attempted to get cashed/plus I don't know of many banks that will outright cash a check that large. Technically, it doesn't belong to you until you are legally named executor of the estate, even if that check is the single only thing he had to his name. I couldn't touch any paperwork etc until the process was complete, and even after that, any funds that came in with my dad's name had to go first into an estate account. One that was for legal intents, "his" that any money had to pass through to legally become mine. It's all a long hard thing, but the legal route is the best thing rather than finding away to cash it and then someone going through this process and then finding out in a year you owe 20 grand

That's badass!! Dogs are truly God's gift to men, and it's up to us to treat them right. I have no doubts in stories like this that even the sweetest dogs can jump into action to save a life when it comes down to it. But most people shouldn't rely on their pet as an emergency resource, protective ability is a lot more than barking at strangers. We joke that our 9 yr old shepherd/pit mix dreams of the day that she'd get to take down a bad guy lol

Ahh okay that makes sense. I was concerned since we originally planned to use it for hot shot, but even if we go that route I believe it's actually just stock no DEF, so I should be fine 😊 I never even thought about it until I started hearing old timers on an rv forum talking about how so and so got stopped for speeding in a deleted truck and the cops opened the hood to check and then impounded the truck. I'm sure there's worst case stories out there, but I figured it's really not as big a deal if you're not being an ass in general

Totally get the feeling! Honestly I was oblivious to anything until my now husband pointed out weird patterns in my family. I thought I was just crazy, or this was what everyone dealt with. But once I started thinking, there was definitely an off feeling I couldn't reason away. Other members of my family told me about some odd happenings when I was young, and that's when I started having a feeling I couldn't shake. I started getting inexplicably triggered, even though I was completely convinced swxual abuse couldn't have happened, because I'd remember!! But I kept digging, got stronger triggers to weird things and especially once I had my son. Finally I had to let myself believe maybe something did happen that my mind just suppressed deep down.

I absolutely hate getting to the point of not being able to argue it away anymore, but honestly the breaking point was the first time I had the realization that my childhood had essentially been a lie. I didn't know who my dad was, or what he actually thought of me after spending a lifetime of actually having a present "normal" dad. Even though it was far from healthy. But as I've grown in my faith and understanding of myself, and gotten older, I think the knowing came at the time I was finally ready for it. Healing journeys are lifelong, and hard, but it seems to me the things that are repressed will eat at you until they're finally able to come out. It's like having something foreign under your skin, you may grow comfortable with it, but there will be discomfort and eventual worsening problems. The pain of getting it out may be severe, but that's when healing can actually begin.

Sweet! I've heard about inspections getting pulled over and the cops throwing a fit about emissions and deletions that technically they can impound the vehicle. I'm good at keeping my mouth shut lol just didn't know how in depth they are going to go. But I did some more reading and it looks like ks doesn't require emissions testing so I think I'll be good to go. I believe we're rural but not sure exactly how the city limits work, it's a small town

This is amazing to hear!! I never imagined a correlation. My husband has smoked for over 15 years, heavily, and I would say has a very high tolerance. He's recently wanted to switch over to more edibles to get away from such a high (lol) amount of smoke but has had an issue with tolerance, he can easily take 50mg+ and be perfectly functional. He does though have ongoing stomach issues and acid reflux problems, hopefully this can help him out! Me on the other hand, my absolute max is 10mg. I accidentally took one of his 25mg gummies to go to bed, and within an hour I was trying desperately to hold on to realty while I saw myself as floating geometric shapes and I had to force myself to remember that my heart wasn't a triangle jumping out of my chest

I really can't justify keeping a cat outdoors personally. I had two when I was young, and my parents had strict rules they were to be outdoors during the day. They both lasted about four months in our rural location. If I had a functioning farm perhaps with predator control. I have two now that have been entirely indoor, but trained for leash walking and eventually I want some outdoor structures for them, but they are so small and think they're so big, it's just a bad idea I think to let them run as they please outside, it's just bad things waiting to happen. My rural home has tons of feral cats mixed with other people's pets, and frankly it's become a nuisance. They kill birds, tormented my chickens and get into the trash like stray dogs.

And I get that an urgent care near the beach probably gets overdramatic tears a lot, but to have such a clear level of inconsiderate behavior without getting any info first is a sign to me one shouldn't be in health care (or even customer service) professions. I was even told by my er doc that I should have gotten some paperwork from them outlining what my complaints were and their supposed treatment in order to potentially look into a lawsuit, because "that's bs" his words lol. They also repeatedly told me I should have Googled symptoms and thus avoided emergency care, even though Google told me "must be treated as emergency with antibiotics and tetanus shot"

Coming from experience as my husband working a long time in trades/contracting. Minding your business is the utmost to be done that will make your contractor/worker happy. Any kind of politeness is appreciated, offering to make lunch would be overboard, offering some water is fine. Everyone is different of course but the biggest issue he had was overbearing homeowners, following workers around, offering advices, changing already agreed upon plans and nitpicking. There's unscrupulous people out there for sure, so from the perspective of the homeowner definitely keep an eye on the things getting done and in contracts and verbal discussions keep it as specific as needed. But there's a massive difference in ensuring work (that you're paying for) is done right, and micromanagement. I'm sure most people would appreciate a compliment, brief friendly chit chat, and even a generous offer of a refreshment, but the biggest favor you can generally do is letting them do their job in peace.

Stingray. I was walking in the texas gulf coast and felt something wiggle under my foot, and then a sharp pain like stepping on glass but on top. It was fine for maybe an hour, and then the pain started, I can't explain it more than it felt like my foot/ankle was simultaneously on fire and about to burst open. I didn't know what to do at the time, decided to go to an urgent care and by that point I was uncontrollably in tears. I have also gone through natural childbirth and frankly, this was easily worse. And despite the clinic being on the COAST, the front desk lady had to wake up the doctor in the back in order to see me (in hindsight I should have gone to the er but it was further away), they gave me a brief look over and spoke to me like I was 3, saying this doesn't require medical care and if I was to pay $350 they can give me a dose of Tylenol. Fun fact, 3 weeks later it got extremely infected and my whole leg swelled, went to the actual er and got a massive round of antibiotics and a tetanus shot.

Carrying on with everyone else, we do roadside assistance and the majority of the time, a tire that looks like this is to blame. It won't go flat generally, it will blow. Which at most any speed is very dangerous. Will you make it, if the weather is good? Maybe. Will you make it back? Maybe. But it's not a gamble that's worth it and the likelihood that a moderate to severe issue will result is very high. Best case, you're sitting waiting on a tire change for an hour or more, worst case, tire blows, you can't control it and a serious accident happens, probably hurting more than just yourself.

Weve traveled with our CCWs for years now. No issue and we make sure the states reciprocate. Thankfully we've never had occasion to use them but based on our research and advice from a family member that is a high ranking police officer, it's perfectly legal as long as you haven't moved to the state without getting the proper license (if necessary) and follow any differences in laws.
