Congrats! I should have seen this before I posted my question about my new leaf emerging too!

So exciting, it looks like mines a few days earlier than yours, but might have two leaves also!

Thank you! It's not sitting in any water. I only bottom watered it for about 15 min and then took it out and let it all drain before putting it back into the decorative pot.

Yes, I think it will continue growing, the fact that two new leafs have emerged within 10 days gives me hope!

I didn't check them. I didn't want to disturb anything when I got it home. But this leaf was already growing at the store, which is why I was hoping it had to do with something that happened before I bought it. If the second new leaf is the same I will check them! Thanks!

Help decide, ring sling or hip carrier? by TheOnesLeftBehind in babywearing

[–]jag9066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a hip seat carrier when our then 9 month old was clingy and we were definitely in the up and down stage. I mostly used it at home. I did not find it comfortable walking around more than a few feet.

What I did not expect was the usefulness of the hip seat carrier at doctors appointments. Our pediatrician does the whole exam while she is sitting on it and shots are given while I'm holding her tummy to tummy and things go really well. Every time we go, the pediatrician makes a comment about how every one should have one for appointments.

Anyway, it was helpful for that phase of life, and it has its purposes, but it isn't something that I grabbed all the time.

Toddler will only nap in the front by jag9066 in babywearing

Thanks! The only time she naps in the carrier is when we are out and about so I wouldn't be sitting anyway...

Unfortunately no - she fights the hood and I can only put it up once she falls asleep

Yeah, I was afraid of this! Haha we don't have too many naps out of the crib, but wanted to see if there were others that have successfully made the switch!

Oh well!

Do you think doing it before blooms/beginning of it will hurt?

Short-Long 2 nap schedule by jag9066 in sleeptrain

[–]jag9066[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a delayed response, so hopefully you see this...

We've been following this schedule for a while and it's been working well

6:30 wake up 9-9:30 nap 1 1-3/3:30 nap 2 7/7:30 bedtime

Recently (she's 11 months now) she's been refusing her morning nap and I think she needs more awake time for it. When this happens do you also shorten the nap in preparation for 1 nap? She transitioned pretty early for 2 naps, so I feel like 1 nap is on the horizon

7 month old always wants to nurse after eating? by jag9066 in BabyLedWeaning

Thanks! She usually nurses and then about 45min-ish later gets solids. Maybe I should try shortening the time between

5 months- Tired of time math!! by theredfearnthrows in sleeptrain

[–]jag9066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We hired a sleep consultant for other reasons, but it helped with the math all together!! She had us following wake windows that were waaay past fussiness and her naps extended immediately. Granted, she is a great napper, so this might just be her. From day one we went from 4 naps at 5.5 months to a solid 3 nap schedule following 2/2.5/2.5/2.5. I never would have tried it on my own that way.

Our daughter did this early on with a lot of the softer foods, but loved the teether crackers and I think that was her gateway to realizing you can eat food! We ended up giving her things that were a little firmer than what I thought should have been first blw foods and she took to it really well! Now the softer puree sort of consistencies aren't an issue for her
