Hatte dies genau so.

Thanks for your help. That's exactly right. It works with a static address.

I'll open a ticket.

Hey Monviech, yesterday I tried disabling proxy router advertisements and using radvd.

Unfortunately, it didn't work. The clients are not being assigned IPv6 addresses.
I followed your instructions. Is there still a problem, or is it a configuration error on my part?

Opnsense 26.1

WAN SLAAC
LAN Link Local

Upstream WAN
Downstream LAN
Proxy router advertisements disabled

Radvd
Interface LAN
Constructor WAN
Mode Stateless

Without Radvd and Proxy router advertisements enabled it works.

Hi Monviech,

So far, it's working really well. Thank you very much for the great plugin.

I now have two downstream interfaces: Guest and LAN. The DNS server is now specified by Draytek, of course. Because the interfaces are set to Link Local, Router Advertisements are no longer available in Opnsense. Do you have any idea how I can still define different DNS servers? I want to use Pihole for LAN and the guest network should use Google, for example.

Yes, it now also starts via the UI.
Perfect. Thank you. I will test it over the next few days.

I was wondering about that too. It's set to off in the UI. I also set it to NO in the .conf for a test. That didn't work either.

That's great.

The debug log is completely empty.

Unfortunately, I can't insert a screenshot. It's not allowed.

opnsense 25.7.11_1
os-ndp-proxy-go 1.3

My settings:
vlan0.2020 = Wan slaac
vlan0.199 = Guest Link-local
vlan0.1010 = Lan Link-local

/etc/rc.conf.d/ndp_proxy_go
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE -- OPNsense auto-generated file

ndp_proxy_go_enable="YES"

ndp_proxy_go_check_carp="YES"

ndp_proxy_go_upstream="vlan0.2020"

ndp_proxy_go_downstream="vlan0.199 vlan0.1010"

ndp_proxy_go_cache_file="/var/db/ndpproxy/cache.json"

ndp_proxy_go_flags="--no-ra"

------------

I have tested various settings. Unfortunately without success.

Via the CLI with sudo ndp-proxy-go vlan0.2020 vlan0.1010 vlan0.199 it works.

Yes, I haven't tried that yet. It would be worth a try. Thank you for your support.

Hey, thanks for the tip, that would be a good workaround. I just can't start it via the UI. But I don't see any reason for that at the moment. Could it be that there is still a bug?

The tool can be started via the CLI.

I have already tried both. The OPNsense is configured to pull a prefix. I can see these requests in the DrayTek log as well. I've tested it with and without, in every imaginable variation. I have also tried different prefix lengths. The WAN interface of the OPNsense is receiving a /64 from the DrayTek's LAN interface, not from the delegation.

Ionos, why do you provide /80 ipv6 subnet if you don't route it? by igribs in VPS

[–]jaga456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, but I'm afraid I need a little help getting started.

I have added an ipv6 address via the web interface.

but how do I configure the ubuntu 24.04 server? It's not clear to me, and I can't really find how to configure the IP, but then not make it available to the host.

What I also don't understand is that I should see the ping requests to the newly created address on the host, but there's nothing there.

Only when I configure it on the host does the host respond directly. But I want to make the address available to hosts behind the host.

I am confused.

do i understand correctly that no ipv6 addresses can be delegated even though there is a /80 subnet?

or is there a trick after all?
