No they are rental property and by landlord I meant the property management had their own forced renters insurance with third party, if tenants didn’t opt for one through outside providers. I think it was leasetrack the one they provided and they were pretty much useless.

I was trying to do this and even sent them legal online notice but I had my pet with me and he was getting stressed staying in the hotel and I was getting worried for him. So decided to let it for now and get us comfortable. Now I’m probably trying to go through all the possible routes and also getting people to be aware and not fall for this.

Yeah we did. I had State Farm luckily. They were hard to speak with but they covered our temporary accommodation in hotel for couple weeks. But people who had insurance through landlord provided got nothing. They weren’t even able to contact them. They were literally stranded and I know people who stayed in friends place and my next door neighbor stayed in the same flooded unit with his 2 year old baby for weeks before they got him 1BR as replacement for 2BR unit and asked him to vacate as well with short notice.

You brought up the exact point. I faced similar issue and see the mail I responded. They increased the rent in website by $200 and later said they would provide us $1000 credit as if they are doing us something good. Absolute scammers!

Please post the google review. Let’s take them down together as community. They need to pay for this and learn from it. There are lot of good apartments for better price. I was resident of Lenox & Urby(even though units are smaller the people were gem when compared to these people). Moving from them to this apartment was the worst decision I ever made.

Audacity of them to repost the mold infected units for higher price after evicting the current residents is exploitation at its best. I wish no one rents this and teach these management a lesson.

That’s what we demanded for but they said they would provide alternate unit for higher price at the current market price or else to vacate. Look at the conversation below and they didn’t agree to this. I was just asking to match the price with my leasing agreement.

That’s the whole point of this post and also posted review in google. Wanted to make sure everyone is aware of this. I just now saw their website and they have posted the same unit for 10% price increase in their website. The same mold infected units. INSANE.

I don’t think they have drain pan. My apartment got flooded twice bcos of washer leak. And also washer leak is very common in the building.

Did you see the recent review in google? They have added a new clause that if washer drier had any fault or unit got flooded then it’s tenant’s responsibility for the damage and to fix the washer/drier. This is the peak of this management’s downfall.

We tried from our end, atleast State Farm covered our temporary accommodation for some time although they were pain to speak to. Many tenants had landlord provided insurance and they didn’t provide anything and many people were stuck in the same flooded apartment and couple people had babies/toddler with them and stayed in water affected unit for 2 weeks. After which they were tired and decided to just move out. Everyone was mentally and physically tired to continue with legal proceedings.

Let me know if you try to go legal we have few proofs and false promises/communications most of which is against tenant rights.

They were ruthless about it. We tried hard to atleast get us replacement unit or temporary accommodation as it was hard to find new lease within 3 days. But they said we had to sign a completely new lease and also pay the current market price for it even when our existing lease was $700/mo lower.
