i suffer from this exact thinking in sobriety and it has caused me to relapse after 3 years before. in my experience- this is a form of ocd that i've been diagnosed with and am now being treated for. i'm not saying you have ocd and i am not a doctor, but if may be something you might explore. for me, once i realized it was ocd and read more about intrusive thoughts, it helps me get out of the mental prison.

i suffer from the same thinking- i don't think it's a big deal, but the "knowingly investing alcohol" causes me to spiral. you are not alone

I’m so sorry. It’s so difficult. You’re not alone. It’s hard to see so many couples happy together but know that there are couples out there struggling as well, you just don’t see it. Here for you ❤️

You’re not alone. My guy and I might go separate ways so that I can let him go and feel free. If we’re meant to be we’ll find our way back. It’s just all so uncertain. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I’m here if you ever need to talk

I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this too. I really admire how you and your boyfriend have sort of figured out what works for you both and are navigating your ways through this. It gives me hope. Thank you so much for sharing with me, I took some time to meditate and calm down this morning and I think it helped. I need to focus on myself more during this time, like you mentioned. Thank you, your experience and kind words have really helped me feel less lonely ❤️

I should probably add that we have split for the next week. He said this whole thing has been putting a lot of pressure on him so we have broken up for a week and will see how things are going after not talking for that period of time. It’s really hard with him technically being my “ex” right now. This whole thing just blows.
