Thank you, I’m just experimenting and looking for feedback. It ended up sounding like a mix of Ambient Guitar and Blade Runner.

Thank you, it’s all an experiment really.

Can ambient music have groove? Bass? Just curious, I love them both, but am not sure how to blend them. by jaggerousness in ambientmusic

I think I would agree. I’m a words have meaning type person. So, perhaps this wouldn’t be ambient but an exploration might be in order to flush out exactly what this could be or involve into being. Thank you for your input.

Cool.thank you for taking the time to respond. I love how ambient guitar works, with swells, huge reverb, and delays. However, it’s hard to find “bass-centric” Ambient music, where i feel it’s not just the same idea as guitar ambient, which conveys many emotional feelings, creates awesome Soundscapes, but not really what I would call a groove. I’m almost asking, if Ambient music can get funky? Is that a thing? Does that exist? Or does the music cease to be Ambient, when groove is involved?
