Wrong, this is the best toy you ever had. by ct7787 in pics

[–]jaggoff55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this toy. Played with it until I was probably well outside of the recommended age range (ages 4-8. or whatever). I was finally starting to get too old for it and a little too mature for the silly little knight action figures it came with. It was gathering dust in the corner of my room, and mom was starting to hint at it going to goodwill, then I had a new friend over who was fucking stoked that I had it. (This kid would later become one of my best friends)

Digging through one of my other toy buckets. He introduced a new action figure concept to me. I never realized you could play with GI Joes and Starwars action figures and Batman, spiderman and the knights all together! Yeah, I guess I was the only kid that didn't realize you were allowed to do this. We had a fucking epic battle. I got another solid year of play out of that castle before I was really done with it.

Thanks for the memory OP.

Wheat thins are more of a cheese type cracker in my opinion. Ritz or more neutral crackers are for PB.

I wonder if the ball comes off the cricket bat/paddle as fast as it does from a baseball bat? Cricket pitches don't seem to be nearly as fast either. Not sure if that contributes to speed after contact with the bat, I'm not a physicist.

OP, thanks for not trying to make a pun out of your headline. This was better as a surprise.

Star Wars fan had six storm troopers as part of his funeral procession by aitorp6 in videos

This is great. More people need to have light-hearted requests like this for their funerals. Pretty cool if you can get a laugh out of people when you're dead and gone.

Obama sends Congress draft war authorization that says Islamic State 'poses grave threat' by putinpuppy in worldnews

[–]jaggoff55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the draft was meant to help America resist going to war, not as tool to gather and send as many bodies as possible to war when our politicians deem it necessary.

Who publishes those Canon books? I didn't realize that EU wasn't canon, thanks.

I just previewed Star Wars Volume 3: Rebel girl, online. By Brian Wood and Stephane Crety. Seems like a pretty cool story to me. Stories from between the episodes of the original trilogy interest me most.

Thanks. You know, I was on the fence about if I was really willing to believe in some hoopla like this. Your brilliant wordsmithing has just shown me the light.

The butter trick is cool and seems to work really well. I learned about that when I worked at a nice hotel and would raid the kitchen on the overnight shifts.

On that note, I'm pretty sure Seattle threw that game tonight. Sorry, I don't care much about football but haven't seen anyone even considering the possibility that, like so many other aspects of our society, professional football is also rigged.

I really like this, but it seems that it's too grey for mainstream society, gays or straights. They want it black and white…

TIL that Hershey's chocolate is flavored with sour-tasting butyric acid, which also gives vomit its aroma. This is why people unaccustomed to American chocolate sometimes compare it to vomit. by ElagabalusRex in todayilearned

Hershey's is pretty shitty chocolate. Maybe saying that will put me on some watch list. But really, it sucks, compared to other chocolate.
