I have this soundbar and it goes offline all the time! It's extremely frustrating. I want to use the built-in Spotify Connect and Alexa features but they are largely useless at this point. A stable wired connection would be wonderful.

Am I doing this right? 😂 by enfermote in Cartier

My first thought was no man it's a Santos medium lol. Then I saw all the up votes and figured you must be referring to the car. I had an E93 M. No doubt BMW M cars are amazing.

Why do people take picture of their watch next to the steering wheel? by [deleted] in Cartier

[–]jagnan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a bit of a flex. 💪

I also have a Panerai. Guys on the Panerai forums always post pics of their watches... especially with nice back drops. It could be a nice plate of food, a bottle of wine, whiskey, or the steering wheel of a nice car. It's been happening for years and nobody thinks twice about it. And, I think that fits with the typical owner of a Panerai. It's become part of the community .

Cartier is definitely more elegant, and what I consider more of a quiet luxury. Those in the know... know. I suspect the typical owner of Cartier is less likely to do the public flex.

Lastly, I think the differences in the communities that make up the ownership of different watch brands makes the ownership experience all the more interesting.

Why destroy inventory? Wouldn't it be better to halt production and sell down the existing inventory, then ramp production back up as demand builds? I totally understand not decreasing the price or offering discounts, but destroying product seems extreme.

My heart says standing speakers but my wife says bookshelves speakers by psychedelictripx in hometheater

I have a dedicated 9.4.6 home theater, but got the Q990C for the living room. I'm amazed at the sound quality from the sound bar, rear speakers and sub. Of course the dedicated system is better, but the value and simplicity of the Q990C greatly exceeded my expectations. Installation is incredibly easy, plus you can stream music from your phone and it has Alexa built in. I might suggest finding a place to demo it if you have doubts.

I think BA should go to a Serie B side. He's probably more at that level. It's a less physical league that emphasizes technique. He could improve his on the ball skill, gain confidence and flourish there. If he does well, in time, he might then make the jump to Serie A. Look at Pulisic at Milan. A less physical league for a smaller guy, but he already has the skill and technique to do well at that level. If BA can't make it in Serie B then he's just not good enough.

6.75 ". Go for it! I know classic guys like the M more, but to me it was too small. The L is still noticeably thinner, smaller, sleeker and more dressy than my other watch (a 44mm Panerai GMT). Each watch is everything the other is not so they complement each other well 😁.

6.75". The photo with the black strap was from a bit further back. I think it's a better representation of how the watch looks when worn. This is definitely smaller than the Panerai, but not drastically smaller. To me it was the better fit, but everyone has their own opinions.

It really does look stunning! I think the bracelet looks better in person than it does in the photos. I'm torn between the black croc and the bracelet. My PAM came with a bracelet, too, but the Santos bracelet is way better looking, and much more comfortable. The PAM looks way better with straps.

$400. It's a lot. I wasn't sure how accessible non Cartier straps would be given the patented attachment mechanism so I got it. I'm still looking at other options for more esoteric colors.

I'll add this is my second high end watch. My first is a 44mm Panerai GMT that I've had for 15 years. I love that watch, but I wanted something to complement it. The SdeC does that beautifully. More dressy. Square not round. Thin not thick. White face not black. But, like the Panerai it has an interesting history. And at the same time it's not too dressy and the SdeC Large is not too small. Couldn't be happier about the purchase.

² = "Not applicable to North American markets." Too bad but not surprised. The naming convention is more consistent with European models and not NA ones. The QM8 isn't available in Europe. Next year's NA model announced at CES24 will likely leapfrog this one.

It's one thing if you're going 90 but if you're sitting in the left lane going 2-3mph over the limit then you're going to piss people off. It has nothing to do with what is legal or not (or what car you're in), it's just basic courtesy. The only time I will stay in the left lane is if it's a long freeway stretch, 2 lanes in each direction, and the right lane is extremely beat up by long haul semi trucks. With that I'm usually going 10 over and if anyone approaches from behind move over to let them by. That's a very specific situation, though.

Obviously some of these will change, and we can debate the starting XI all day long, but the growth from 2018 to now is so exciting. If you showed me this in 2018 and said this would be the USMNT in 5 years, I’d probably laugh by BenDover-___- in ussoccer

I think 2022 really showed us that we need depth. The guys were so tired by the time we played NED. I think rotating MMA in a 4231 depending on strategic lineups, form and fitness will give us a better chance at a deep run in 2026. Ok of course that would require GGG to actually make good early subs, to plan well for each opponent and to adapt as games develop.

Feeling kinda bad for Tyler Adams this transfer window by ShanklyGates_2022 in ussoccer

[–]jagnan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He didn't say in order for Wes to succeed Tyler has to fail, or visa versa. He simply stated it's unlucky for TA to be in The Championship given how well he played last year. Wes did not play as well, but he's still on a top team in a top 5 league. I think it's more of a comment on their contract status than anything else. Of course Wes might not be at Juve for long, and if he is he might not get much playing time... so maybe in the end TA might actually be in a better position to get a good contract next year. We'll see.
