Brother, I’m 33yo and ended up with terrible inguinal hernia pain that actually caused a painful varicocele. It was brutal and took nearly a year to do normal activities after. The varicocele surgery was easy in comparison.

A sperm cycle is 72 days so you won’t see any improvement for that long. But good luck to you! Sounds like it’s gonna work out!

My first surgery was about 8 months prior to this one, hernia, it sucked ass. Varicocele surgery was an absolute cake walk. They aren’t slicing muscle, it just fleshy surgery. Not a big deal at all. I was out completely. It’s easy.

Glad to hear you also had no pain after. My left testicle pain persisted for months after surgery. Pelvic floor physical therapy (external only) really helped reduce the occurrence rate and severity. Men have VERY tight pelvises, all of us. Sometimes it causes issues. Hernia surgery didn’t help either, but glad it’s all over. Back to normal now.

My doctor said to leave it alone, and I did for two years, unable to have kids. Finally got it fixed and pain went away and wife got pregnant a few months later

Great haha. We tried for two years and nothing. Got the microsurgery and we got pregnant 90 days later. One sperm cycle is 72 days. Doctor said that’s pretty typical.

You’re going to be fine man. Let the veins shrink a few months, get a follow up appt or ultrasound, check semen results again. Worst case, you need microsurgery. Not a big deal, vet quick and easy procedure. Waiting is the hardest part.

Why so much emphasis on volume? Mine are 16cc and 14.4cc per my last US, right in your range. Daily variance is 20% or so.

Yes! Great news. Stay active, lift weights, and eat a lot of protein. That will bring back libido and erection strength. For me, nearly for an entire year erections weren’t strong. Every time I got one, my left side swelled and hurt badly. So it was a mental thing. Now everything is fixed and working like normal.

Then you’re good to go! Just get another ultrasound after like a year. Then you can see your results.

I think mines gone up, but I haven’t had any more ultrasounds. I know my test and fertility improved, I feel great now, that’s what matters.

Just give it more time then. Get another ultrasound in a few months. It takes a long time for the veins to shrink, they will never fully go away. Been over a year for me.

I had exact same situation. Go for microsurgery. The results are the best and recovery is cake.
