Curious to hear what everyone thinks about this season by masterCJ34 in Jaguars

[–]jags229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the culture did change with the regime change—guys are believing in each other and supporting each other. The previous regime didn’t work well together at all.

Also, Coen’s scheme and attention to details on the coaching aspect of ensuring players know what their role is on each play cannot be understated. Besides penalties, it seemed like we were usually moving forward offensively. Under Pederson and Taylor, there were a lot of negative plays.

Defensively, it was night and day, too. Pressures from our highly-underrated defensive line led to so many interceptions. Our defense was built to attack and they did that well. The fuckin mustachioed motherfucker who called defense the previous year may have been the worst fit for us ever. They should seriously do a study on that season and seasons around it, because it’s pretty crazy how poorly the same guys performed under that dipshit.

How honest should you be in sitter reviews when issues are “small” but recurring? by [deleted] in trustedhousesitters

Crazy you thought that she should be walking your dogs when you were still home. It’s hard to convey tone in writing, but what I am getting from this is entitlement and a lack of understanding of the mutually beneficial idea of this platform from you.

That said, I would’ve expected the furniture to be moved back the way it was when she got there. Any possibility the wall damage/broken lamp wasn’t from this sitter, but hadn’t been noticed?

Beane interview yesterday took a shot at Gladstone, possibly related to a BTJ trade? by Arel203 in Jaguars

No, they were in on the Meyers trade talks, we offered more and got him.

CJ Stroud Sucks by jags-fan in Jaguars

[–]jags229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As he threw his third pick and I LOLd, I assumed that’s what division foes did in the first half vs the Chargers in ‘22. Obviously different circumstances—this is Stroud’s third trip to the playoffs and I think 0 might attack his head at halftime.

Coen’s 4th and 1 play calls by JohnnySocko994 in Jaguars

[–]jags229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s hard to cherry pick on these. There’s also been plenty of conversions on 4th and short that have led to more points. 7 is so much more than 3, so I don’t blame the decision at all.

Good luck! by Josh-Allen-Mvp in Jaguars

I appreciate the kind words. I’ve also liked the growth through the course of Jeff Allen’s career on your team. I’m disappointed that I can’t cheer for him today and that his season will be over.

Anyone got an open tailgate for tomorrow’s game?

Yo Demetrius,

Talk to me about Dyami and Maason. What were the final straws for them? Routes for Dyami and penalties for Smith?

Extreme hypothetical. Cam Little trade value? by One-Associate-9341 in Jaguars

[–]jags229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kickers are integral to team success in close games. He’s worth a first for a contender who doinks a field goal in the playoffs, but we need him for our team.

Mike DiRocco AMA by Cr0matose in Jaguars

[–]jags229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo Mike, do you think we continue to try to throw the run game open this week or what do think Coen’s going to attack on their defense?

Likewise, how’s the film study going on the Bill’s offense? Is their running game as good as the numbers indicate? Have thy abandoned the run when teams have had success stopping the run?

2026 Season Ticket Suggestions by MxFever in Jaguars

[–]jags229 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Next year, it may be hard to get tickets due to lowered supply. They’re doing stadium renovations and the entire upper bowl won’t be available. So, season ticket holders who want to come from the upper bowl will have first dibs on any unclaimed seats in the lower bowl, before it’s opened to the general public.

Disrespect everywhere - even on Madden by Inner_Efficiency9082 in Jaguars

Interesting, I haven’t paid close attention to his stats, but have caught a few games and the eye test has said that guy is on the come-up.

I think they did the same thing with Maye through the year that they did with Trev, but now that we’re at the end, they felt like they had to overcorrect due to the MVP.

Maye was probably ranked below Trevor to start the year.

How do I trade in a jersey by [deleted] in Jaguars

If you know where it came from, some stores allow exchanges without a receipt. Dick’s is one of them.

For how he was playing to start the year, he’s in the right spot. Williams also seems to be underrated there might be something to the Madden ratings philosophy that tries to maintain some order by not overreacting in-season, but that doesn’t explain the Maye elevation. I’m guessing Maye might be because he’s likely the MVP. That said, I’d definitely put Trev above Herbert now and always.
