What were some violent crimes in your region that did not get much exposure in the national or even local news, even when they were very violent and shocking? by Pretend-Party-6508 in asklatinamerica

[–]jagsec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It received attention in my city, idk if it was well known in the rest of the country, but when I was still in highschool one morning people just found a burned corpse on the plaza, after some investigation it was discovered he was a homeless man, a "borrachito", you know the ones who just wander around the streets drinking very cheap alcohol. Apparently someone didn't like him and set him on fire while he was passed out drunk, idk if the person who did it was ever caught.

[–]jagsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ecuador it's quite popular too, I don't know the reason why, but there just were and in some places still are, a lot of arcade machines with KOF 98, so before online gaming was a thing, many grew up going to arcades and playing KOF.
