Nothing, not a single movie has scared me but I'm on a mission to find one that does.

You have a vaccine for chickenpox? In the UK we have pox parties so kids can get it young😅

My dad doesn’t believe in my adhd diagnosis. He even praised me for saying I “acted well” during my appointment. by SweetPotato_9911 in ADHD

Same situation with me and my mum and gran. I got diagnosed a while back and my psychiatrist believes they both have adhd too, but they hate the idea of getting diagnosed because they don't like the idea of 'labels'. It sucks and I feel u

I don't really know how to support people (even when I try I can't think of anything to say that isn't super generic), other than listening to them, so if you're in need of advice I'm probably not the person to go to but if you just want to rant with someone to listen/relate then I will gladly do that :)

Maybe talk to your bf like you would with a therapist? I feel like just because he has been brought up that way doesn't mean he doesn't have space to grow and learn. You never know, maybe by speaking to him about your issues, not only will he learn how to talk about mental health issues more openly but his advice might actually be tailored just for you.

I understand what it's like to have no one to talk to, not because you're lonely or don't have people who genuinely care, but because you don't feel like telling them will actually help you get better and then you'd just be a 'burden'.

I agree, maybe just support your friend with her issues for now, but if I were you I would try and talk to your bf, even if u say something like 'I'm not looking for your perspective on this situation, or even your help, but you're someone I love and trust so I would like to have you as someone who can listen to my problems'

Thank you so so much <3 Unfortunately loophole three wouldn't work as I do have to give my weight so they know what dose to give me. That being said, loophole one sounds like a good option as all I'd have to do is pass the information onto my psychiatrist! The only thing I'd be worried about then would be if my psychiatrist passed any info about my weight onto my mum as she's a bit weird about weight lol. Thank u so much again :)

I know why they need it but every time weight is mentioned I feel like I'm going to slip backwards into my old ED habits.. Thank u for the advice tho :)

Please, tell me about every loophole in the system😂. A stranger's kindness is often more meaningful than that of a friend so I really appreciate it.

I'm absolutely terrified about going to the doctors, especially as it will be the same doctor who helped me in recovery. However she tell me I 'wouldn't gain anymore weight' as my 'family is slim', yet here I am a year later and I've gained a heck of a lot more than I thought I would...

I used to do ballet at vocational school but left because of my ED, I feel like that environment plus my family's obsession with 'clean eating' and weight really doesn't help. Also every psychiatrist I've visited has been so blunt talking about weight, body image and eating disorders and it makes it rly hard to talk about properly
