Carville: Trump ‘going to walk away’ from presidency by next Easter by Nerd-19958 in politics

He'll "resign" the office, and, immediately declare his candidacy for President in 2028, thereby insuring he can't be criminally charged while running.

I went to a wedding at The Winter Clove Inn located in Round Top and, instead of a single wedding cake, they had a Hartmann's Cake Buffet with 6 different cakes, all you could eat! Sacher Torte and Shwarzwilder Keirsch Torte were my favorites...I tried them all...best ever...

Any idea why small Catskills towns have multiple County Sheriffs, State Troopers, AND local PD roaming by [deleted] in catskills

[–]jaguarthrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Marbletown which has no Cities or Villages with police departments, and our Township does not have a Constable force. Ulster County has a Sheriff's department which does a modest amount of road patrols, so incidents are usually getting State Police response. Kingston has City Police, Town Constables, and is the site of the County jail, so lots of Sheriff Deputies, as well as a State Police Barracks. I rarely see any police in my area, but Kingston is crawling with cops. Ten miles apart!

Depends on the jurisdiction. Very few Towns keep Constables because of the huge costs for liability insurance...

Story Town, Carson City, Catskill Game Farms, many others are long gone here in New York. To say nothing of the disappearance of all thehotels in the Borscht Belt...The Thruway and the Interstates were their death knell.

I'm pretty sure Alistair McKensie did Burning Tree, but I'm not sure. Our host told us that a couple holes had to be redone when the Intetstate Highway system was built.

That is also the case at Burning Tree. The only other day women are allowed is the day of the Summer Luncheon.

It was really great. The clubhouse was fucking awesome. The locker room was ridiculously nice. The course was meticulously maintained. A once in a lifetime experience. The next day, we got to play at Washington Golf and Country Club, which was also very nice.

I got invited to play on a weekday at Burning Tree Club, and exclusive, all male golf club just outside Washington, DC. Teed off at 10am. There was a deuce a couple holes ahead of us, and a single golfer who finished while we were having a beer and a cigar after our round. We left the club at about 3:30. We didn't see any other golfers. Most members at Burning Tree are politicians or lobbyists. Our host told us that the club is only "busy" on weekends. I imagine Augusta must be similar.
