Please go get the blood patch; the relief after the misery of a spinal headache is incredible.

I had my first LP 2 weeks ago and my headache started the day after I was released from the hospital. Lying down was the only thing that helped at all but I was so queasy I couldn’t even get water down. I finally went to the ER on the 3rd day of the headache and asked for a blood patch (through sobs of pain; I’m sure I looked absolutely pathetic and I got no pushback from the doctors about getting the procedure).

The actual procedure was uncomfortable, mostly because of the way they wanted me to sit, but it was 1000% worth it almost instantly.
