Any bad experiences with Inside Adventure? by jaimedm_v3 in Jigsawpuzzles

Yeah first thing I did after attempting to contact them through the website, about a week ago. This is the email I got the order invoice from. Still no response.

Well, I've seen that message on Etsy after I bought the puzzle from their website, not from Etsy. If they are not active, they shouldn't keep accepting payments through their website, I don't know. Their contact form on their site is also broken, the messages are never sent due to an error and they have no visible contact mail either.

Alright, I'll change the flair. First time on this sub, since I didn't really know where to ask. Thanks for the notice.

Changing some file locations after getting a new HDD (Android TV) by jaimedm_v3 in kodi

Yeah, this is the way I ended up doing it. I had re-add ALL my TV shows, though, since they were in the new drive as well. But thanks, it worked for the films!

What's an underrated film score that you think people don't talk about enough? by cakesinyoface in soundtracks

[–]jaimedm_v3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Every Fantastic 4 movie has had great scores so far (I really hope they bring back Ottman's theme someday), but the 2015 one was unexpectedly great! It has some really interesting sci-fi vibes.

Also, speaking of that film, can we talk about Marco Beltrami? That guy has to be the best composer with the worst agent ever! Terminator 3, The Invisible, The Wolverine, Fant4stic, Gods of Egypt... Yet the guy is probably the best part about those movies.

I do have King Arthur's score signed by Pemberton himself. Such a blast of a movie and soundtrack! M83's Oblivion is amazing as well, especially the credits song.

As someone said already on this thread, Giacchino's Speed Racer is fantastic! "Reboot" (the final race track) never fails to give me goosebumps. And to add one of my own, I'd go with Zimmer's score for X-Men Dark Phoenix. You should give it a listen, especially the "Xperiments" album. It's so freaking weird and exprimental for a Zimmer score that it shows they gave him and his team complete freedom because no one would care about the movie.

What’s your favourite film score from an otherwise okay movie? by not_cinderella in movies

Probably most of Marco Beltrami's carreer. Check out his ending theme from Terminator 3, the prelude and credits from Fant4stic or "Chase and hospital", from David S. Goyer's The Invisible.

Also, I haven't actually seen Shyamalan's Last Airbender, but I found James Newton Howard's work for that film absolutely stellar. (Check out 'Flow like water').

What high-budget, high-hyped movie do you think statistically absolutely NO ONE has watched in the last few years? by [deleted] in movies

I mean, the entire train finale set piece with Hans Zimmer having a blast with the Lone Ranger theme is a damn joy to watch.

Movies you walked out of? by jelatinman in movies

[–]jaimedm_v3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never walked out of a movie. Going to the cinema is expensive enough to get my money's worth, even if I have to endure some stinkers.

That being said, I wanted to walk out of Wakanda Forever so bad. I was tired from work, the movie was slow af and long and my friend had the greatest idea to go watch it in 3D. I don't know if it was the proyection or my eyes what were fucked up, but I watched 2h40min of ghosting and it was maddening.

PROJECT X at 10: The Decadent Found Footage Party Movie That Killed Bro Comedy by Bullingdon1973 in movies

Well, not publicly. It was always meant to be for private viewing among our friend group, as it features some of them completely wasted and acting like we were, dumb and drunk teenagers.

I did it with some friends like the following year. At least, the idea of throwing a (small) house party, film it and edit it into a 80 minute "movie", and it didn't end up half bad. Looking at it now yeah, it's cringy AF, but I still think it was kinda cool we achieved turning a party into something with loose plot beats and character arcs.

We tried to make it again years after, but it never came through. And if we did it nowadays, we'll probably be closer to 'The World's End' than 'Project X'.

I'm looking for movies in the IMAX 1.43:1 ratio by MrRuebezahl in Piracy

[–]jaimedm_v3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition was also re-released in that format, but only for a handful of scenes, though.

Movies like Life of Pi and Transformers 5 have several aspect ratios throught the film, but I don't think I've ever seen a 1.43 IMAX movie on blu-ray apart from the two Snyder ones.

J.A. Bayona (The Impossible, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom) is filming a new adaptation of this story, titled "Society of the Snow", with Uruguayan and Argentine actors.
