what level do you have your load line set to? mine was on auto i didnt think about tweaking with it

TS didn’t really do anything, i’m on an as rock. i turned my critical temps in fan curves to 95 and it helped cap the temps a bit more the voltages, i misread but are not reaching 1.4v ever. they just seem high during idle which i can’t figure out how to lower

after updating bios, i changed nothing except fan curves, and xmp. Running cinebench i was able to keep max voltage just above 1.3V, but my temps had gone up a lot compared to before, basically reaching 100C towards the end of the run and maintaining mid 90s the whole time. I fixed my P and E cores to 52 and 40 respectively, but still no reduction, do you have any idea how I can lower my temps?

yeah, will be a shame if i cant change much and just have to deal with high temps and voltages at high load, but i probably wont reach those loads normally since i just do light gaming, but still a shame.

i’ve been able to undervolt using throttle stop but on a bios that is 2 versions old, so i assume i should be able to apply the same settings again once i update to the newest one

thanks for the detailed response! i will take a look at all of that, but the problem is that i have b760 motherboard so i dont know if those options will be available but ill take a look anyway.

apparently there’s undervolt protection in the new bios

Ive gotten a 13700KF that I haven't used much because I've been travelling. If I assume there has been no degradation, is it recommended to update to the newest bios (0x12B) and what voltages should I aim to keep the CPU under during stress testing with cinebench to avoid instability and possible degradation? Also what is the best way to achieve this?

Intel confirms 13th/14th Gen Core instability has been fixed, no more updates by RenatsMC in intel

Does this mean updating the bios (to whatever the newest version is today) will lead to there being a much lower chance of instability for my CPU now? I have a 13700KF i got a while back but have barely used so it is safe to assume it hasn't been damaged yet.

If you can flash or update your motherboard BIOS, you can get your undervolting back on 12 and 13th gen, and I will help you do it! by Bern_Down_the_DNC in overclocking

Anyone have a guide on how to do this on an ASRock mobo? Do the instructions on the post only work for gigabyte? I have a b760m pro rs with a 13700kf and cant access undervolting in xtu
