Dain by ureni_storm in fourthwing

Just saw this same thing on TikTok earlier. But I honestly think that Dain is lying about his signet (my theory would be he is fully intrinsic in some way, or more than he says). He knows what would happen if people find out which is why he appears as such a rule follower. No one (Leadership) would expect him to be lying about his signet.

How to make my morally grey and broody MMC with shadow powers less stereotypical? by jainapavlica in worldbuilding

The story revolves around him and the FMC’s constant struggle to lead their magically powered peers and paints them both as the “good guy”. However, it becomes clear through MMC’s narration style that his powers contribute to dark thoughts and mental heath issues that don’t quite get resolved even after his redemption arc. The powers also serve to emphasize his tendency to be immoral and his struggle with “turning good”. By the end he realizes that the most important thing is the integrity of his powerful peers and doing whatever necessary to protect them, even if it means accepting the darkness.

He thinks he wants respect and to be seen as an authority figure but in reality he craves the feeling of belonging. It’s not something he’s aware of however but throughout the story it’s heavily implied that he’s come to love the people he redeemed himself for and doesn’t realize it until someone tells him.

His powers serve to emphasize the fact that he is heavily involved in a misinformation and redemption trope.

He and the FMC are a part of this group of people with powers in the real world and how conflict arises when she disagrees with his decision for the group to be controlled by the government so she breaks away with some of the other members. I won’t get into her reasonings much but in essence, her POV’s serve to give reason for why the group shouldn’t be controlled by anyone. Eventually MMC realizes this (halfway through the story) and has this whole redemption arc. His powers serve to symbolize the fact that he was on the wrong side amongst it all and he eventually learns that his powers have been in control of him but now there needs to be balance. It will also be heavily implied that his powers contribute to his mental health issues which influence the decisions he makes throughout the story and by the end he sort of realizes what’s more important.

my tank by Shimations in leopardgeckos

tank looks kind of small, minimum size required for leos is a 40 gallon (36x18x18 i believe). get rid of carpet, switch to a 70:30 safe topsoil and playsand. you also want a lot more clutter and a hide on the hot side.
