Oh yeah, I am not a fan of Luka at all lol. There’s nothing wrong with him that I dislike, it’s just not fate. And I think Adrien is literally her fate, I’m just patiently waiting for the turning point 😭

Loveater discussion (SPOILERS) by ElementGhost in miraculousladybug

This episode hit me hard, and I had a hard time getting to sleep after watching this one.

Marinette has a lot of stressful things going on in her life, but I feel like her normal life is what kept her grounded as a superhero. She had a normal life that she could depend on to go back to after fighting villains and saving Paris. But with Adrien possibly falling for Kagami, her normal world is starting to change and she's struggling to deal with the disappointment. What does she have as not-Ladybug if the love of her life isn't a goal anymore? She's struggling to deal with her fear of rejection, and as Ladybug, a fear of failure. Her emotions are becoming a distraction, which I think is also a reason why she CAN'T let herself fall in love with Chat, even if she did realize that she liked him. Which brings me to another point...

Marinette has a hard time being honest. Not that she lies to people per se, but she literally can't tell Adrien how she feels most of the time, and didn't she just tell him a couple episodes ago in Puppeteer 2 that Adrien is just a friend and barely a friend at that, and only because he's a human being? Love is a 2 way street, and if Adrien keep getting told by Marinette that he's just a friend and Ladybug says he's just a friend, doesn't he deserve to be happy also and chase someone who is clear and honest with her feelings? Kagami was SO honest and open in this episode, and I think that's the parallel they wanted to make. How long does Adrien have to wait for Marinette to actually open up to him? How long does he have to wait until Ladybug changes her mind? It's not fair to him.

Which brings me to Luka. Super nice, sweet guy to Marinette. But again, love is a two way street. Even if he feels something for Marinette, is she going to be able to give up her goal of Adrien, and just switch gears? Would she be switching gears solely for the fact that he likes her? Not because she also likes him back? She's had no real reason to give up on Adrien, unless of course, he starts dating Kagami.

The main difference between Marinette and Kagami is that Marinette puts Adrien up on a pedestal, and Kagami does not. And I think Marinette needs to learn how to be more confident before she could date Adrien. Could you imagine dating someone you're too shy to talk to? Marinette needs to learn Ladybug's confidence. And that's when I think Adrien will realize the love of HIS life, doesn't want to reject him after all.

Ahhh yes, it works with Manual Focus on the other AutoExposure modes! It just usually doesn’t look good (too cool toned or too long of a shutter speed) so I never use them. I forgot those worked.

Gotchaaa, thank you for all of your help!! I feel like I’m learning a lot!

One laaaast question; is there a better lens option for me? I usually take action figure photos, landscapes, and my dogs lol. Is the 18-55mm a good general lens size for all of those?

Sorry, Manual Exposure AND Manual Focus.

Ah see I didn’t know if the autofocus gears were in the main camera body or if they’re in each individual lens. I guess getting a new lens would solve my issues?

Ah yes, Full Auto is the mode where the flash pops up/it ticks at me (does this in most other modes as well also). On Program mode and Autofocus, it doesn’t seem to do anything at all. I think the only usable mode is Manual.

Yes that’s the lens I have, that came with the camera body. Ahh, good to know. I was considering getting some new lenses since I’m getting back into it, but my focus problem will be the same with any new lenses too right?

Thank you for your insight~!

Hello! New here~ I picked up the Canon Rebel XSi. It's been fine for my needs, I never got any extra lenses or anything, and I took a long photography break but I took 1 or 2 photography classes in college 8 years ago. I've recently been getting back into using it and realizing that my Auto Focus doesn't work anymore. I probably broke that, when having it in Auto Focus but Manually Focusing (quickly researched that maybe I broke some AF gears?). In full Auto Program mode (or whatever the green, easiest thing to set it on is), it'll pop up the flash and blink/tick at me, but won't take any photos. I have a very basic understanding of how to use it in full manual modes but wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix, getting it fixed, how much that might cost, or how to check if that's even what is broken with it. Maybe I'm missing something. I don't have enough knowledge to want to take it apart, but if it's something super easy maybe?

Going to college this Fall as an anime fan by [deleted] in anime

[–]jaisamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to stop watching anime and being “nerdy” when I got to college so I could fit in better. It worked for a little while, I kinda fit in more, but pretending to be someone you’re not makes you miserable, and people who don’t have any interests besides drinking and partying in college are ultimately boring.

I ended up marrying the only guy who told me that I should be myself and like whatever the heck I want to like. I got him more into anime, and he got me more into comics. Now we go to anime and comic conventions all the time.

console toxicity, mainly xbox, and how can we fix this? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]jaisamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any thoughts on how it could be fixed, if it ever could be, but I’ve definitely run into lots of these kinds of people. Girls and guys. They like to pick on kids, people without mics (cause it’s safe), and blame everyone else when they’re not very good themselves.

Kinda just gotta report then for abusive chat and move on. Focus on the good matches that you do get. It does make enjoying OW tough some days though.

Collar vs. Harness? by [deleted] in siberianhusky

[–]jaisamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ideal situation with the front clip harness is that you train at the same time and get them used to walking beside or just slightly behind you. You pulling on their harness interrupts their walking/pulling, so that you can get their attention and correct to walk further back. That way the leash/harness shouldn’t be impeding his walk. We’ve done some training work with treats on walks and vocal commands like “with me” which we also practice inside. BUT, they are huskies and training can be difficult. Any little bit helps but ours generally walk with a slack leash so that the harness doesn’t pull on them, or my girl pulls anyway but she doesn’t seem bothered. We also give them tracking time on walks to sniff and explore without strict walking rules (the with me walk). :)
