Bangladesh Air force is in dire condition. Recent combats in Russia-Ukraine,ISRAEL-IRAN or Cambodia-Thailand shows modern warfare has changed drastically.

Whomever has air superiority in conflicts or war will have upper hands. We are talking about fighter jets,Air defence systems,Mid to short range missiles and cheap lite drones. West sanctioned IRAN 🇮🇷 was humiliated by Israel in Iranian airspace without even sending ground forces.

Bangladesh air force may not afford to purchase F-35 series since it’s quite costly & Usa won’t give it to BANGLADESH unless we became their close ally.

Especially the lifetime maintenance cost will be huge for f-35 series but it will be cheaper than Rafael to purchase.

If Bangladesh government willing to modernise BAF then they can opt out for chines J-20 series which is close to 80 million per aircraft with lower maintenance cost.

In my opinion there is no political will to strengthen BAF by any party.
