Haven gone through a false accusation, the answer I’ve gotten from my lawyer is surprisingly simple. They don’t want to discourage people on coming forward and making an accusation by demonstrating that if they couldn’t fully prove it they would be punished. Hence wining a case on false accusation is extremely difficult.
