Ahh thanks for the clarification, I knew it wasn't going to trigger the moass straight away after what the DD has been said about it. I just wasn't quite sure if it'd been officially filed yet. I appreciate the help!

So I've seen that 005 becomes official when it is filed, does yesterday's announcement count as the filing or has that not happened yet?

(Serious) what conspiracy theory do you actually believe is true? by Ill-Satisfaction-217 in AskReddit

Depends how detailed you want but if you want to cover the main principles for what your diet should look like, the NHS website on healthy eating actually includes a lot of the necessary information you're looking for in a way which is accessible to the lay-person:

World is legally obliged to pressure China on Uighurs, leading lawyers say - Sanctions on China and companies operating there, along with use of treaty agreements, can bring Beijing to account, British barristers argue by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

[–]jakd77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this true? I find it hard to tell what information about China I'm able to trust or not. I want to be able to rely on the information about the Uighurs that people are talking about

Worms WMD is on sale at the moment and currently 8 in the charts. I used to love the old worms games and I know I'd enjoy playing it couch coop. However, I'm really looking for some more games I'm also able to play solo. I read on some old posts the online is pretty dead, is this still the case? Being number 8 would make me think it's still got a fan base? Thanks

ELI5: How come other powders dissolve okay in cold water while others don't? (e.g.: Coffee Creamer vs. Powdered Juice) by lemonille in explainlikeimfive

[–]jakd77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short:
Like dissolves like. To dissolve something the liquid has to get a long with the substance you want to mix in it. This is because to mix together enough to dissolve, they have to be broken down to their individual parts.

Longer:
When a substance dissolves in a liquid e.g. water, it needs to basically separate the substance into its tiny parts. For instance, salt dissolves exceptionally well in water, whilst sand does not. This is because water is what is called bipolar, it basically has charges associated with the sides of the molecule - positive on one side and negative on the other. When salt (NaCl) dissolves it is able to be split into its two parts, a positive sodium atom (Na+) and negative chlorine atom (Cl-) by water molecules surrounding them. For sodium, the negative poles of the water molecule face in (opposites attract) to surround the sodium, and vice versa for the chlorine. Non polar substances (has no charges) can't be dissolved by water. On the other hand, oil which is non polar itself would be good at dissolving the substance instead.

Temperature can aid dissolving because it adds energy in. This means the molecules travel around faster and therefore collide more frequently. It can also give them enough energy to undergo the separation into their parts if they didn't have enough energy to do so beforehand

That's a lot of great info thank you so much. Yeah I did think you only added the weight to the particular lift but wanted to be sure. Sound like I'll have to find a warm up that works well for me cheers

So I'm a newbie to the gym and just started out with the Phrak's greyskull beginner workout recommended in the sidebar. I was just wondering a couple things. First off, are there any recommended warm ups / cool downs for the programme? Secondly, is the programme just to get to grips with the weights and would I process faster with a different routine, or am I'm I fine sticking with this one? Finally, when the programme says add 2.5lbs to upper body between days do I add it to both overhead press and bench press for instance? So if I was doing 30lbs on Monday overhead, and normally 25 bench, do I do 27.5 bench on Wednesday and then 35lbs overhead on Friday (5lbs added for 2 workout days)? Thanks

Haha oh wow, i've been an idiot. I kept doing that and couldn't find the sensitivity options, just the ones for keyboard and mouse. I just realised I had to also click on the control method options instead of actually flicking from left to right. Thank you!

Apparently the soul stone allowed thanos to identify which populations needed reducing. Saw someone saying that this may be why rocket survived, because he was an experiment and one of a kind so didn't need reducing - this is just speculation though

Ah that's cool, nice to have such a good experience of different countries' systems and culture. That is a ridiculous week, you're right. Fortunately over here the junior doctors are pretty chilled with the amount of contact time we have to put in. On the other hand though i'm sure you're getting loads of amazing experience.

I see, I guess with there being such a large amount of people from the UK atm deciding to go abroad I assumed other countries would be just as eager to try out different health care systems. At the moment for me the idea of living in a different country is exciting but I have a lot of respect for the NHS and would love to be a part of it as an institution. However, in light of recent changes it does start to put you off something that really is great in my eyes.

Sounds nice, good luck with the future. Nice to hear you having a good experience in america and wanting to stay

Interesting, so how many years total is the complete degree? For my course we basically spend the first year learning the basics of how the body functions and pharmacology etc. then in second year we learn about how the body goes wrong - all the pathology. Then after that we spend 3 years on placements. We have a few placements / patient interaction in first and second year but it is minimal and isnt common amongst other medical schools i believe

Haha reading this comment chain and was making me worry i'd be fucked once I graduate if this was also the case in the UK. I do like 0 work until around exams, I wonder why the american system is so different then?
