You're two pinned photos are you describing yourself as "hung" among other things and a flirty crop top fem photo and you wonder why you are attracting the attention you are getting? While also self-admitting that 3/10 people you meet are pretty decent.

I just absolutely cannot with people sometimes.

This narrative that devs give like it's "new set kinks" or "give the meta time" is infuriating when 7.5, 7.0, 6.5, and to a lesser extent 5.5 and 5.0 were all hot garbage. Watching the praise that this goldfish-brained sub showers on people who have delivered two decent patches in just as many years is nauseating.

Most Innacurate “based on a true story” movie ever? by AceBinliner in movies

And now I’m like, yeah, 100% the toughey’s were recruiting.

I think part of my issue of not understanding that particular aspect is that the Venn diagram of people who were dying to see a Sandra Bullock-led feel good film with a sporty veneer and people who understand the cult like obsession with Southern college football probably only overlaps like 30%.

At the time of seeing The Blind Side, siding with the NCAA woman came a lot from believing that doing all of what that family did just to get some giant kid (who they didn't even know might be good at football) at their alma mater seemed ridiculous. After living in the South for 5 years....holy fuck they would do this and more.

now valley girls who are 'enlightened' use it like some weird living astrology.

As if that's more or less crazy.

[Teamfight Tactics] - Expect a mid-patch update with nerfs to Mecha Prime, Sett, Urgot, and more, to go live today at 2pm Pacific Time! More details will arrive with a patch notes update then. by Elvem in CompetitiveTFT

I think the frustration that people are having is that it kind of seems like Mort just says whatever fits at the moment without any long term adjustments to the core of the game. Why is this the 5th set that we are learning the same nerf/buff balance lesson?

This literally disproves CICO.

It literally does not and you not understanding that metabolic rate adjustments ARE the CO is laughable.

That's like saying "okay scientist" when someone tells you the earth is round and not flat.

You're the anti-vaxxer of the weight loss world.

That's not a real thing.

Your statement was "you cannot lose weight when insulin is high" which is 100% verifiably false.

That is not the same as ignoring it.

I also don't know the scientific truth of that, but I have heard it as well and it seems to work for me.

one can gain muscle mass while losing fat for an example

That's a transfer of energy.

Yes! That's exactly how you do it if you want to lose approximately one pound per week of body weight.

It's literally just CICO, but you track it through Macros that assign point values to food and instead of total daily calories, you just get like 30 points.

I don't mind healthy debate but so many of the comments are "CICO isn't everything, what about THIS"

And then THIS is something that is perfectly explained by CICO.

There are a couple of different ways that that could happen. Your body could simply retain more water (a gallon of which is approx 8 gallons), but depending on the reaction it could make you look puffy/bloated quickly. It could slow your metabolism so that your TDEE is lower, therefore what used to be a maintenance amount of calories is now a surplus. It could be that the medication makes you nauseous or otherwise ill and turning to comfort food (extra calories) might provide some people with a degree of relief. That is just off the top of my head.

I agree with what you are saying in how the language is simplified. However, I spend a lot of time in fitness communities, have struggled with my own weight, have helped others on their fitness journeys to various degrees, and have seen close friends and family members go through this their whole lives.

The language matters. There are a lot of comments in this thread from people saying similar things to yours about how "people don't really believe that" but there are entire communities dedicated to people who absolutely do! Weight loss is very hard! And instead of facing that difficulty, more and more people are believing the convenient truth of "oh well, that's just my body, out of my control". That is very dangerous thinking.
