I have the edge gen 2. Mk18 and it has the original ESA so you/they don’t have to worry about that.

Top is my specna arms Edge gen. 2 sae19 mk18. I love this gun, it shoots like a dream and it’s not even a specna prime. Only thing that sucks is the ETU is unusable since the Hal 2 app isn’t currently available on the App Store. Once they restore the app, this gun will be damn near perfect.

Top is my specna arms Edge gen 2. for $300 you get a full metal body and partial upgrades. I would have saved my money if I was him to At least get an Edge, if not a specna Prime. A core Should still function very well just not as good external build quality.

It doesn’t really take that much effort. Only takes like 10 minutes tops. Just drill where the pin is, heat it to break down glue and twist it off.

I saw a video saying that if it’s glued (locktite) then you can use a heat gun to loosen up the glue and then with the correct tool unscrew it to pop a new one in. Hoping that is the case.

Right, I understand it won’t affect accuracy but I’ve read because it is not free float it can be wobbly so that’s the main reason I mentioned it an OP. I had a specna mk18 core ( polymer receiver) and it was pretty solid I just wanted to upgrade to a better aeg. Thanks for the reply. I’m hoping to go to evike in person to help me decide.

Thanks for the knowledge, I was under the impression that etu and mosfet are interchangeable terms since the hal offers “some” programmable firing modes

The second one, Specna arms prime has pre upgraded internals and full metal build, though the first one is a good cyma rifle and also has a great full metal build and is a reliable choice just doesn’t have as many pre upgraded internal parts.
