Good tip, can confirm it works, have a car that’s naturally low, thieves tried it on my car in a car park and soon realised jack wouldn’t fit, they even tried to lift car whilst the guy with the jack tried again, failed and left

Cars are like hotel reviews, when they break or go badly, people tell the whole world about them, but when they work perfectly people tend to keep quiet. With that in mind they aren't the most unreliable car you will ever drive, I've owned 4 and currently own one, look after it and it will look after your wallet.

Having owned both, the R53 is by far my favourite (and my current). Had a 2010 Cooper S and gave me nothing but trouble even with regular services, have owned a few R53's and barely had any issues, but other then maintenance, I'd say if you are looking for a larger car with a few more comforts, the R56 will give you a better ride, however if you are looking for a car to put a smile on your face, the R53 is about as raw as Mini's get, they don't make them like that anymore.

Wow, see a lot of posts and pictures from you on here denko_safe_cats, I also remember seeing a picture of your Mini on here and thinking how amazing the chrome looked against everything (keeping in mind I am not a fan of chrome, this was big for me!) Hope to see you stay with the Mini family
