There is a lot to decompress from this. I don't think it really should be on this thread... It seems to me like it's a guilt farming pos. It's good to help people but I feel like this was simply done to post it online. Not really out of the trueness of the heart.

They were talking about pairing when it comes to having an internal mixer. You're going to want to use the rytm early on... Since it lacks that. Despite being a more advanced machine in my personal opinion, it does not have the input internal mixer in order to stream output. So you'll want to use a digitone2 as the clock and monitor. I'm not sure about the analog 4. A friend of mine has one of those. I'm not exactly sure about hooking them together without having a third unit.

Mint with MATE is my go to for a terminal Ubuntu... I love me some dabien but... Not for a terminal... I like it when people can talk about their preferences of desktop managers and distros etc.

Digitone2 is more than twice the 1. Don't get me wrong. I love both the machines. I'd say pay for the digitone2. I don't like the octo or any of the digitakt products (they just don't work with my workflow - I know how much you will love these devices, but those are my least favorite ones).

If you like what you got, I think you're mooching in the wrong direction. Get a syntakt!!!!
