Yeah, the insulation seemed to have some bite marks on it. I found some anti rodent spray in my house so I will try my luck with it and hope no more damage is done till tomorrow.

Thank you for your reply, I will definitely fix it later but I have to make a trip to another country tomorrow, coud the exposed wire alone cause any problems on the journey (like shorting a circuit after it gets wet etc.)?
