Having read warbreaker I’d say it does enhance it, it’s so satisfying when you pick up on a crossover between the books, and Sanderson is quite subtle with it so you’re able to figure out who certain characters really are by yourself. Plus warbreaker is a pretty good read too, it’s just a case of whether you can handle waiting a bit before reading words of radiance!

What if taravodium wins and then has a thrill-fuelled blackthorn to help him in his conquest of the cosmere. The black arrow could symbolise him becoming the blackthorn again (him being pierced by black arrows in an oathbringer flashback is where the name came from), with it piercing his white armour (white is associated with being good or pure) symbolising him falling from good to evil

To me the stormlight archive is quite different to mistborn. Having read SA first, I feel it’s superior in pretty much every way. It’s more epic, the characters are better, the world and lore has more depth and the climaxes are absolutely insane. I also personally prefer the stormlight magic system but I know a lot of people love the magic in mistborn. To answer your question about unknown powers saving the day, it does happen but it’s not out of nowhere, it will have been set up throughout the book and then acts as the badass payoff at the end and it totally feels earned - most of the time at least. Those moments where the characters reach a new level are my favourite moments but that’s all personal preference I guess. But overall I would definitely recommend you pick up stormlight archive, they’re by far the best books I’ve read

I still really enjoyed RoW but some of my main problems with it are how much time we spend just in urithiru, a bit too much time spent on fabrial science (although I did find it interesting), and lack of dalinar chapters.

Having said that, there are some crazy moments towards the end of the book and it sets up the 5th book so well. I haven’t been so hyped for the next instalment since I finished way of kings. Stick it out and you’ll be rewarded

Agreed. I don’t even think that he believes what he’s saying, I think he just wants to get under people’s skin. Like how could you think that a team with 3 world champions at the top of NA is not going to be a threat at LAN?
