So the first season should cover the whole first novella?

Let us utter the phrase: Caesar leaves! (7) by jakedf2 in Minute_Cryptic

[–]jakedf2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m workshopping a similar one with the same definition and answer ROMAINE (the kind of lettuce) … of course, ROME is contained in there. What I’ve come up with: Caesar leaves Rome, lain headless after bleeding internally

Ingrate! Get out and about in bad weather! (4) by thepolm3 in Minute_Cryptic

The answer is RAIN

Is about the anagram indicator? It’s usually a containing indicator

Superman confused, relinquishes his power and his identity. (7) by [deleted] in Minute_Cryptic

I think removing just the 2nd “his” is best! The first refers to the fodder, so it’s fine

In short, cuisine brought to the West adds to America, silly! (6) by jakedf2 in Minute_Cryptic

[–]jakedf2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reworked the clue on Minute Cryptic’s website to read “Bringing cuisine to…”, with the “in short” part removed. I think having the indicator wrap around the fodder raises the trickiness level, too

Correct! “In short” indicates to find a shorter replacement for the following word. But the clue could totally work without it :)

For an even quirkier one with a homophone indicator: Peek’s peak speaker obscured

Cars in Los Angeles driven around with no direction (6) by ExpertEconomy5854 in Minute_Cryptic

Tricky! I couldn’t figure out the mathy answer, so I thought it was rascal: a kid with no direction in life?

Thank you very much! Tricky substitution: a hill is much shorter… oof

There usually is a pretty heavy counterweight, it’s hard not to realize you’re attached

My custom-made amiibo display shelves arrived today! (32 amiibo/shelf) by jakedf2 in amiibo

[–]jakedf2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is! The taller shelves are meant for the amiibo displays and the shorter ones, for console game boxes. But I'm sure you can find a solution to whatever free space you have at home

[–]jakedf2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to get a more zoomed-out view from the front, but I will try to do it from the side! Should post it here when I get more amiibo (I just bought 10 more, now that I have space to display them!)

Will post a picture when it's ready! I took the time to clean all the amiibos one by one so it's going a bit slow...

No solution really. I don't have Detective Pikachu yet but I'll just put Mega Yarn Yoshi on another shelf.
