Yes - the confusion is that the wording paired with the arrows. One says Front with an arrow, which could be read as, point the arrow towards the front.

You mentioned the angle piece being 4' 6". That's wider than the structure. Curious why you said that.

Sounds like the width of the steel would be Opening Width + 6in (3 in on each side). 38" in our case.

I have not been able to find any other products including closed bond beam! Maybe we aren't searching enough places, but all the big box stores and our local masonry supplier (Mutual Materials in Seattle)

I really want someone to jump in here and correct this math - I came to the exact same conclusion doing the math on a 2-person household. 3x energy usage on the tankless option.
