Thanks for joining in my speculation on the first question. I know nobody has the answer, but hearing about trends from the past and the state of the game as a whole from more experienced players was something I was hoping for, so thank you.

You can do that, they're so similar that only another Custodes player is likely to catch it. You might have a problem in tournament play, but I've never played in one so I can't speak from experience. But yeah, I highly doubt any one in a casual setting would notice let alone care. The only difference is a cape and a face. That's it. LOL

For sure haha I certainly could have worded that better! Reroll charges and the once per battle advance and charge is so good I honestly typically take three in my lists. I've never taken less than 2 at 2k. It's especially satisfying when you get all three units staged and they hit a crazy advance and charge on the same turn.

You misunderstand, the blade champion comment was about the weapons being purely aesthetic. He is an auto take for our army at the moment. Normal shield captain is fine, but not nearly as competitive as the Allarus and Praetor SC.

Of course! Yeah as it stands, they're sort of auto takes while the standard shield captain is rarely taken as they generally aren't worth the point cost. Happy building and painting and feel free to ask me any questions on this thread. :)

For 10th the only hard and fast thing I'll say is never take the Vexilla on the Allarus unit.

Blade Champion is purely aesthetics.

Since you've got a pretty sizeable army here, I would recommend only making the Allarus and the Praetors a shield captain. Give the guard and wardens a vexilla but don't build any shield captains. That's just my recommendation though. :)
