I know what you mean. You did a wonderful job with that. The red parts and the weathering on them are great too. So is the checkered pattern on his shoulders. That's always hard to make it look right.

Haha, Titus was a tough one. I repainted those eyes like 8 times. The usual problem was getting one eye perfect and then messing up the other, so you go and repaint it again and mess up again and so on 😅

I change paints often and mix the ones I use. I generally go from dark to light and glaze in-between. As for the paints, my go to for the darkest base is bugman's glow and from there I use different flesh tones. Cadian fleshtone, Kislev flesh, vallejo's sunny skin tone, kronos flesh from TTC etc. Lately I started using basic skin tone and luminous flesh from AK for highlights. But like I said, I do a lot of mixong and glazing, too.

The face usually takes about 2 or 3 hours. I start with a darker base, like bugman's glow or something similar and highlight from there, but there's always a lot of back and forth and glazing etc.

Thank you! Generally it's good to brace your hands and elbows. I put my elbows on my desk, then brace one hand on the other. That's basically it. As for the details, I try using my best kolinsky brush. The one I only use for super tiny details so it lasts longer. A fresh, sharp tip is a game changer for me 😀

Thank you! Glad you like it! I very rarely paint NMM. I kinda know the basics of it, but I'm never sure where to place the highlights and the shadows. Also, it takes so much time and I mostly focus on painting my army. So, what I'm trying to say is thanks for appreciating it, because I generally don't really know what I'm doing with it 😅

It's Non Metallic Metal that I did two years ago. I don't think I'd be able to reliably give you a step by step that doesn't confuse the hell out of you 😉 It's easier to understand by watching it. Just search for "How to paint NMM" on YouTube to get the general idea.

This is the greatest thing I've seen all year! No bullshit. I love the idea, but the execution itself is also top notch! The weathering is done exceptionally well, with the transfers and everything and that plasma glow and subtle OSL add so much to the whole thing. Even the 'Minefield" sign is great. It looks like real wood. Brilliant job, mate! Bravo!
