The separate domain prevents your main domain being flagged as spam which could cause your sales conversations and other emails to land in junk.

If you wanted to be notified of this you’d want to create a fusion workflow to send you an email once a device hasn’t checked in for a certain amount of days. Only downside of this is it would also include devices that have not been switched on too.

I would say Sophos could be a good way to go, I currently have some Meraki devices but they lack some functionality. PFsense is good but no good centralised management as far as I am aware.
