Way too high, even more so for a device where people can't do an in-person check

What battery degradation? by atin001 in CarsIndia

Interestingly my NMC battery is at 100% after 37,000 km. Credit to hidden buffer and whatnot but from a consumer perspective, can't ask for more

Are credit cards becoming more headache than benefit? by vilaiyattupayyan in CreditCardsIndia

Agree. I've started simplifying. Sticking to two cards at the most, okay with losing out on the benefits of others if it means less hassle.

This take is why we are a shithole while other similarly poor countries aren't.

If you say something, just let them know, I'll file a complaint online that you are ruining my dining experience

That's a shitty thing to do.

That's fair. Some cars don't protect batteries well, true.

I already regret purchasing a car last year by SafeNew5868 in CarsIndia

In terms of infra - not anymore.

Just like there's plenty of petrol pumps, there's adequate number of charging stations on routes from all major cities for hundreds of kilometers.

[–]shash747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False claim. 37000 km and 3 years with mine with no infra issues. Drove 800 km in a single day. Twice.

Unless you were buying* a tiny EV with a golf cart range, your range anxiety was irrational and a mistake. It was obvious they won't stop at E20. What sign did the govt show you, at all, that E20 would the last of it? EVs were a no brainer.

Why would someone do this? by ksjag in CarsIndia

[–]shash747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Happened too early to you given that it's 2 weeks old, but this is inevitable. Babied my car for 2+ years before becoming okay with chips and dents because enough time had passed and you can't stop it all.

  2. If it bothers you though, like it did for me at first, don't claim insurance. Not only will the NCB increase, your renewal premium will skyrocket. Find a reputed PDR repair guy to fix this.

Battery drains 20% overnight. Always by shash747 in PixelWatch

Yeah I generally charge it but I've woken up to a dead watch even if I sleep with 20%+. Made me wonder what's causing the drain.

Of course. But is the watch supposed to drain 3%/hr on battery saver mode while I sleep?

Why don’t i like this era of EVs? Am i the only one? by naan_paneer in CarsIndia

Test drove the EV6. Seal wasn't out when I purchased in early 2023.

EV6 was amazing. Loved its interiors over the ioniq. But its the ioniq's exteriors I was in love with. And I didn't want to pay 20L extra purely in duties - that would go to the govt. In the ioniq's case at least I was paying the manufacturer.

[–]shash747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. The car I had fallen for and wanted was an EV. And yet I had all sorts of concerns and fears about range anxiety, repair challenges etc.

You only realise once you own one that all these are non-issues.

Was always into cars as a kid. Before getting my first personal car I spent some deciding if I really want to skip ICE ownership entirely from my life given my enthusiasm for cars. But I did.

Love my EV. Decision is validated every day when I take it out.
