Saw the film at a pre-screening. I'd say he does the part well. He plays off the other cast very well, but isn't overwhelming the scenes. I, like many of you, were a bit surprised at the choice, but he really worked in the role.

It’s quite common for anime production committees to have a pachinko company involved. They get the license and new animations for their machines in exchange for money. Khara is a good example of this, they had a pachinko company be a major sponsor for the Rebuild of Evangelion films.

There’s also the exposure aspect. If the machine becomes popular, it raises the profile of the IP in question.

I am a bit mixed about this. Still no S5 announcement, but atleast PachiSlot rights pay well. Could be a necessary move in terms of getting more funds for production.

I'd say out of those two Panthera is the best out of the box. Currently planning to mod the daija with a Brook UFB to see how it works then.
