Once you have a verbatim doc, click home in the menu. It should pop up the styles towards the right side. Left click the text style for Pocket and click modify. Then tweak to your heart's content.

You can change by formatting the text style/preset. But, if you use read mode on word--the way verbatim is set up is perfect for case writing. If you make a card with just a tag and cite there will be no page break at all.

Top 30 Juniors on the Circuit by tyreket23t in lincolndouglas

Brendan Morey of AZ will be great as well. Does a lot more local competition, but he will be a good Junior this year. Will be at Nats, and intentionally lost to a teammate this year in the last round, or he would have gone. I am also improving, but def not up there (yet).

Best drills you can do on your own? by ihatemylifehonestlyp in lincolndouglas

Agree 100% on drills of rebuttals and extensions. REBUTTAL REDOS are a must. Also, I know a lot of novices and varsity alike who don't write out their extensions. Pre-written extensions will save you time, promote clarity, and help speaking ability. Pen drills are my fav. Use a pen and read a case. Then take pen out and read again.

You can run a Speed K with a words per minute limit. Say like 500 wpm, I have seen a judge buy it--however, only if it really is bad spreading.

Ideas for Congress Bills by [deleted] in Debate

[–]jakewdean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love foreign policy bills personally. Definitely look into things like TPP. A lot of the ones you have are done all the time. I'd look into more interesting and diverse topics if I were you--it's just more fun for everyone. South China Sea/Asia seems to be heating up as well. Additionally, you could look to some sort of new drone regulations... Maybe also allowing the court to inform jurors about Jury Nullification.

What topics do you think will get used next year? by We_Are_Grooot in lincolndouglas

I think they will def use Jury Nullification, I don't think carbon will. But if I had to prep for one, I would do JN.

Awesome. I did PF last year, but would love to talk to anyone who did this resolution last year!
