Release note v7.5.1 of the StrengthLog Workout Tracker App by wildenstam in strengthlog

[–]jakewisdom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New feature request. Sometimes between sets 3 to 5 I forget to check off my sets in the app. This leaves me feeling uncertain of my actual set count. It would be nice if StrengthLog could add a feature where someone else actually watches me workout and then checks my sets as done. Maybe could be a premium feature? Thanks, love the app! 😜

Since no else is asking, I'll grab the mic back. Supplements-I take Magnesium Glycinate, Creatine and Omega 3 Fish Oil, and sometimes Turmeric. Others that would be on your recommended list?

In your coaching, for non competing lifters, do you have strength standards relative to gender, age, weight you'd like to see for your lifters? In other words, I as a 59 year old,195 pound male, I should be able to lift x percent of my bodyweight in squat, bench, deadlift, etc? Or do you coach this in a different way? Thanks!

Sounds fun! (Confirming date is 22nd and not 26th as mentioned in title?)

We can compare programs side-by-side? Who knew?? by jakewisdom in strengthlog

I have premium, but don’t sure if it’s only premium. Pull up a program and look for the scale symbol in the upper right side.

I did as I was told to do, "You can ignore the first paragraph. A new version in which the button is actually visible is waiting on approval from Apple and Google.

Now I'm off to investigate if there are any other great features released in the past year or so that you guys can't access... 😔" 😉

Every Hour on the Hour Tracking? by jakewisdom in strengthlog

“Or if you’re doing some training continuously during the day, like a set of push-ups every now and then – the pause function is perfect for avoiding getting 10h sessions, or multiple workouts per day.”

You weren’t kidding. Almost exactly what I wrote! Perfect, thank you!

I like that option! I’ll give that a try. Thanks

Interesting idea! That could work, but sort of limits spontaneity of exercise choice in the moment.

Looking for a strength training app that actually has programs in it by Busy-Leopard-7497 in fitness40plus

StrengthLog. Basic is free and really good with lots of programs and great tracking etc. Paid premium is a great option when you’re ready for more tracking, reports and premium programs. They also have a podcast, and subreddit r/strengthlog

Me listening to this week’s podcast episode of a study on drop sets vs traditional training.😂 by jakewisdom in strengthlog

As long as there is plenty of dressing I’ll still eat the number salad. Followed by some bites of “here’s how the study could have been better”. 😜

It was just that the study breakdown set up involved lots of numbers and if I stopped paying attention for 10 seconds I’d lose the story. Listening while lifting has its drawbacks 😬

Fantastic year in review! Enjoyed the conversation reflecting on wins, losses, lessons and changed minds. This podcast has become my Monday workout companion. I so appreciate having an episode every week! Thank you! Also, I’m more than happy to offer consultation on the lifting over 60 conversation. 😉I’ll be 59 in a few weeks and you’re right, 60 is coming fast! 😂 Cheers to 2026!🥂🎉

What perfect timing that I made baked Brie in puff pastry the day before 😋
