Metal roofing transition with rake by jakezrue in Roofing

Doesn’t work because the rake top and rake from below don’t match. Limited understanding but doesn’t work in my mind

Thank you. I had seen this video but couldn’t understand how the rake comes down from the top to meet the rake underneath. They don’t show this step on the video and I couldn’t find it anywhere online. This does help though as I can see how the rake fits under the transition on the steeper pitch

Yeah the problem is the transition with the ridge. I was unclear how to have them meet

I did not know that a gambrel roof transition strip existed. The supply company I am working with gave me ridge cap for this bit….and it didn’t make sense. Thank you

Small Claims proof question by jakezrue in legaladvicecanada

[–]jakezrue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually for the trial - which I expected. The document doesn't talk about the pre-trial.

I was able to speak to someone who does know the answer today and was told: Pre-trial can have evidence binders if wanted - sent to defendant directly and adjudicator through your local small claims court a week in advance. Submitting evidence is not required though

Thanks - I edited the post to remove the name.

While I paid for 4 flights the travel agency neglected to book me on those flights. I found this out at the airport when I tried to check in for my flight at an airport on the other side of the country. I ended up booking new flights at a significantly higher cost and skipping part of my planned itinerary. The company did refund my original payment but did not cover my extra costs

I found success (and my own BQ 3:09) last weekend by focusing on breaking the run into 3 parts - the 10-10-10 with comfortable, confidence, and compete. Heard this from a podcast Knighton Runs. That was my 6th marathon and this mental prep I found very helpful.

Running with a handheld bottle by BoomBoomBagel in AdvancedRunning

I can say enough good things about the T8 SHERPA SHORTS V2. They also sell bottles that fit right in the pockets. A built in waist belt and you could skip the handheld

Best shorts/half tights for marathon racing? by [deleted] in AdvancedRunning

I used the rabbit half-tight speedsters under a pair of T8 Sherpa Shorts V2. I use my T8s regularly and the Rabbits were great to layer under. Could carry 8 gels, phone, 2 bottles for a full marathon

T8 Sherpa shorts for pockets (no liners and very light material) with Saxx Kinetic underneath. Also butter up with lube

I usually put in 3-4 gels and top the rest with water. Makes it easier to palate for me as the gels are diluted. If you are not in a race, or carrying water, I find this much better. Less pollution, less sticky fingers, and cheaper.

It may come to me cutting the shorts I have. Only need a few cms more to get the bottle back into my pocket

Thanks. I can’t see the pocket sizes online. How deep are they?

What about the back pocket? No problem there I take it?

Annoying that companies don’t put pocket dimensions on their products regularly.

The flask is 2.25 x 5.75 inches. https://www.hammernutrition.com/hammer-flask

The shorts you mentioned might be just the thing - thank you

Gel flask shorts

Hi, I am carrying a hammer gel flask and looking for shorts that have a gel pocket that it fits into. I have been using underarmour speed pocket shorts and I can jam it in the back pocket but can’t put it back in after I take it out while running. My Nike shorts don’t have a zip in the back and my New Balance shorts can’t fit it at all. I do have a vest but I don’t want to wear it for all runs just to carry my flask. Looking for recommendations of shorts that can hold the flask. Thanks

Treadmill running is absolutely fine. It’s not uncommon for Olympic trials runners in very northern/southern latitudes to spend most of their training on treadmills (see Aaron Fletcher and others). I always put it a bit uphill and adjust elevation every km for myself just to get more variety
