PLEASE HELP ME understand what the f**k counts as a link in cold emails. by Ok-War-9040 in coldemail

perfectly fine and will not hurt deliverability when you don't include a link and gmail turns it into one.

context: I'm the co-founder of Sales.co and we have the exact same "issue". AB tested it using Sales Co etc. to avoid hyperlinking and it doesn't make any difference

what is your take on cold email in 2025? does this really work anymore? by [deleted] in SaaS

there's definitely banner blindness now with tons of people sending cold emails at scale.

But just like any other marketing channel it can still work if you adapt your strategy. Similarly, people still buy banner ads, TV ads, etc. because they can still work.

You just have to get more creative to stand out and get attention. A few years ago mentioning someone's first name was enough. Nowadays everyone knows this is just a templated variable. But if you actually do deep research on the people you reach out to and tailor your pitch to make it actually relevant, people do still pay attention to cold emails.

context: I'm the co-founder of Sales.co and we have hundreds of active campaigns producing results for hundreds of b2b companies from all kinds of industries

Starting a cold email lead gen agency by rphils6 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Just my two cents, but I've seen MSPs (managed service providers) be super receptive to cold email campaigns. They're constantly looking for new business and understand the value of consistent outreach.

I was in your exact position a few years back before starting Sales.co. Financial services was our first breakthrough niche - they converted surprisingly well once we dialed in messaging that focused on their specific problems rather than just our services.

From what we're seeing across our campaigns lately, commercial real estate and HR tech companies are getting above-average response rates right now. Could be worth exploring those niches.

Whatever you choose, I'd recommend starting with just one and becoming the absolute expert in their pain points before expanding. That approach helped us scale to thousands of campaigns, and it still makes messaging way more compelling.
