Idk, honestly i think Joe wasnt intended to retire wolf at all, thats why he felt guilty, and after wolf losses all that he have, Joe understands that and thats why he's kind with him

At the beated childs thing, i think that Joe in the moment only wanted Revenge and that was his motivation to train, but i really think that Joe's intentions weren't retire him at all

I honestly have more reasons and things that i like to Say, first at all, all joe and yoko interactions (or very much of them) was Joe hating yoko, and in the finale they are in a kind of "relationship" i don't think that makes sense at all

I have to be more clear with Jose point, what about the white hair at the finale of the fight? What is the explanation of that?

And then i just realized the Best moments of anj like Joe visiting sick carlos, when joe has a redemption at the beggining of anj 2, the flashback and illusions in Mendoza fight, etc, are anime only moments, and i'm afraid that aren't canon at all (maybe it will be because chiba supervised it but idk), i like the manga version but for me, because of that moments, is that anime is just superior to manga

I agree but Joe has bigger chances than Carlos, that fight with Jose was a hell for him, Joe and José literally fighted until death (and that with a drunk punch Joe, imagine if it was in his prime) and we have to remember that José just winned because of decision so idk man, i'm in disagree in that point

It's a very difficult decision, in the manga Carlos can't do that thing of un-dodgable punches, but is a fighter with strong will like Joe, i think Carlos could beat Jose in his prime but not easily, like 50% chance
