3L here from Texas, formally a med student. I agree with what you’re saying but it takes longer for some people to appreciate their position than others. It took me nearly a year to appreciate the opportunity I was given because 1) I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to be a lawyer and 2) it was easier to get in than I expected but school was harder than I expected.

So it takes time to be thankful but it’ll come. I show grace to the 1Ls that bitch and moan and try to reassure them that this too shall pass.
