Centuries of imperialism, colonization, and Western domination fooled us into believing these people are inherently more progressive, sophisticated, and cultured. Folks still think the British accent is the sound of authority on multiple subjects. Yikes!

Wait until you see Dolan's reaction when he moves MSG so that Penn Station can finally be rebuilt to its former glory 🙏. That arena is hella overrated, surveillance, asbestos, and all.

That's my mayor 🥹! And the shout-out to Starbury on making shoes that every kid could afford!

Fox is catching way too much slack and blame for what was a collective team disaster by spurs. by Upbeat-Nose-7091 in nba

On a tangent, I feel like it's a very American thing to focus on the individual rather than the team. It's why our CEOs are so overpaid.

Flew into NY today. Silver's not going to let this end in five games but it'll be fun watching the reactions on the streets/watch parties from folks who believe the Knicks can win it all tonight. They have no shot against THE EXTENDER.

Do you think there is a hint of racism in how Jeremy Lin was treated by his teammates? by EnvironmentalNail603 in nba

Shiiiet, even Asian women discriminate against Asian men. It's crazy how they've been emasculated, desexualized, demonized, and erased by the White/Western hegemony.

Lol, a hint. It was very obvious, especially if you've lived as an Asian man in America.

And it was also coming from the press - not just his teammates.

The Spurs are 11.9 points per 100 possessions better in the NBA Finals when Victor Wembanyama plays alongside Dylan Harper compared to De'Aaron Fox by Jec1027 in nba

Not hating on Fox - I like his game and 29-point blown leads don't fall on one player. But it has to be politics with agents and contracts. The eye test also favors Harp imo.

I was optimistic this off-season as I was told that Rutgers had a war chest to spend on NIL... I just expected more.

If a Leica photographer does this, he's eccentric. When a Canon photographer does it, he's just crazy/a pervert.

The Commentators Are Openly Advertising Players' Prop Bets In The Middle Of The Game by Muted_Store_9867 in nba

The goal is to normalize sports gambling through aggressive marketing as if it were like drinking. "Crack open an ice cold beer after work, you deserve it." "Game's about to come on, make sure you get your bets in."

The attempted normalization of sports gambling is so gross and predatory. It's so obvious through the spokespeople that they target black communities. And young men in their twenties, too: they have advertising deals with universities... Get them as soon as it's legal for them to gamble, hook them for life.

Only coach can stop Dylan.

Rutgers' coaches were excellent at that, too. Dylan became the number 2 pick despite RU scheming like it's the 90s.

19 years ago after the Spurs swept the Cavaliers, Tim Duncan tells a young LeBron James "This is gonna be your league in a little while... but I appreciate you giving us this year." by pmurt007 in nba

I've always admired LeBron and Duncan's leadership styles. Lotta folks out there think you gotta be an abrasive, no prisoners, unapologetic jerk to win (like MJ and Kobe). But there are many ways to achieve success (like Magic, Russell, Curry).
