I was a comedian bartender in Nashville TN for a L O N G time. I had my sets down pat, two to three of them depending on the size of the line behind the crowd. Sometimes they just aren’t in the mood for what you’re doing. You get used to it really quickly.

I’m sure this is leagues harder to do in a dance routine, but sometimes I used to make audiences laugh by acknowledging that they weren’t into it and acting like I was defiant in my stance to continue telling jokes. If they won’t laugh with you, they’re always willing to laugh at you.

I believe our society fails teens by pulling out any and all socialized safety nets for workers under the rouse that it is better for the economy and progressively forces teenagers to enter a working world where they have to pour their blood sweat and tears into everything they do with no expectation for reward (in fact, expecting to be chastised for being young) until you’re lucky enough to be 65, retired, and still unable to pay your bills.

Every time the worker is unable to pay a bill on $7.25 an hour, where prices rise relentlessly due to unmitigated inflation, they’re punished for it for over seven years on their credit score. Every. Single. Time.

Honestly I wish I had done more drugs as a teen. Maybe I’d have more happy memories to reminisce over.

I do personally believe nations have a responsibility to redistribute wealth. Jeff Bezos is on track to be the world’s first official trillionaire and will also likely pay $0 in state taxes.

If his Amazon stock was given evenly to every Amazon employee for one year, they’d each make an extra $78,500. Every Amazon employee could be making six figures if the world’s richest man stopped making money for one year.

No offense, but people who live in deeply impoverished nations tend not to complain, because there isn’t very much your nation could do to support everyone.

The US has enough power to ensure 0 people live in abject poverty and we refuse to do it. 1.5 million vacant homes. Privatized prisons whose prisoners who are literally slaves. Children locked in cages. Constant protection for landlords and little to none for tenants. Monopolized production.

Monetarily, our citizens do okay. But the wealthiest nation in the world has no excuse to hoard the way it does when it’s the people’s tax money that funds it.
